Long Hours but Good pay
Warehouse Associate (Former Employee) - Kemps Creek NSW - 31 October 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeed10 Hour shifts that can be mentally straining. Good people, decent management and good pay. Job’s great if you can manage full-time with no other important curricular such as Uni.

Hard but good temporary
Warehouse Worker (Current Employee) - Australia - 27 November 2023
10 hour days with 2 breaks. You can choose the days you work and it is hard work but if you have a great team and a great atmosphere, it definitely makes the days easier.

Great company
Pick Packer (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 1 November 2023
Great company to work with. Good management and staff. Plenty of staff and team members are always on hand. 10 hours on your feet, just make sure you have the right footwear, composite shoes/boots. Very multicultural, friendly environment.
Pros
Good management. Great environment. Well paid. Some overtime.
Cons
10 hours standing. Short breaks.

assc (Former Employee) - Lytton QLD - 31 October 2023
long hours physically taxing conditioning lab rats its fine if it suits your circumstance your and commitments. all work places have positives and negatives just like the people you work alongside.
Pros
you earn your "free" lunch or treat, therefore it is not a Pro!
Cons
no mercy, your a robot - management are conditioned as well, witnessed many employees come and go turnover high.

Quality conscience, performance without being a time waster are strengths required to be a valuation asset at Amazon.Honesty is another priority as you are trusted as an employee.

Fastpaced and pressuring workplace
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 12 June 2023
The work is pretty physically tough and is repetitive going for hours and hours per shift. It is almost difficult to get the right work-life balance here and you can be prone to injuries

Too much physical damage
Warehouse Associate (Current Employee) - Ravenhall VIC - 7 May 2023
I don't know about another Amazon warehouse but the one in Ravahall is a tough job. Too much physical activity and low pay. Workplace culture is not good at all a lot of biased favouritism. A typical day at work most just repeat jobs.

fun to work with co-workers
Delivery Associate (Former Employee) - Regents Park NSW - 23 April 2023
Too early start time had to work from 1:15am/2:15am/3:15am.. I joined Amazon warehouse when they said work starts 5am but as time passed they changed time to time as I mentioned before. No balance life, too much biases, whoever worked hard they gave more workloads.
Pros
friendly co-workers
Cons
too early start(1/2/3)am, favouritism, workload, no balance life, poor management..

Working at a warehouse can be tireing with early shifts but it is a great atmosphere when creating friends and working together! I was a stower but there is plenty of room to move around

Very fast paced
Pick Packer (Former Employee) - Hurstville NSW - 20 January 2023
It was a very fast paced working environment where staff members usually just kept to themselves. Minimal interaction is required with others. Standard shift time.

A lot of work
Sorter (Current Employee) - 7001 skipper rd - 6 January 2023
Some good days some very bad days but it will most likely be a lot of work I don’t recommend this job either if you do not work well under pressure and it’s very unorganized

Fun and great community
Sorter (Former Employee) - Kemps Creek NSW - 3 January 2023
Everyone is so nice, staff holds special lunch for special occasions and pay is worth the amount of work put in. 10 hours can be boring and slow but everyone looks forward to tapping out for the day

Fast paced and KPI based
Picker/Packer (Current Employee) - picker - 16 November 2022
Management is terrible, however, the work is hard but after a while, you get used to being on your feet all the time. Security is super strict and you must wear a mask. Management only care about your rates and hr hounds you constantly. The hard work is not worth the minimum wage.
Pros
free lunch
Cons
Immature management

Productive but not fun place
Stower (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 13 November 2022
Amazon is renowned company. I love to work here. But my thinking is we are working in the same role for 10 hours. This is I feel bore.If the role has variation then we dont feel bore ( as per liking).

Not a great workplace
Order Picker (Former Employee) - Lytton QLD - 23 October 2022
Environment is toxic. As an order picker you are trained for only 2 days and they basically expect you to be perfect and make no mistakes whatsoever. You get pulled up for everything from the way you park your car, if you're 2 minutes over your lunch break, incorrect totes, not picking fast enough etc etc. It almost feels like you are in high school. Only a handful of people are willing to help if you get stuck otherwise you are on your own and just learn on as you go. The whole process is ridiculous. All shelves you pick from are mostly disorganised and messy. And not properly catergorised or in appropriate order. For example; you have dog food mixed in with baby food or high end items with cat litter. Makes no sense.
