Don't do it to yourself
You will be responsible for pretty much everything and if something goes wrong, or the business isn't consistently pouring through the door then it's all your fault and you will be told all day everyday to do better. I learned that it's not about caring for the customer it's about hassling people all day every day until they cave in and do what you tell them to do. They are like a dog with a bone, once they get you in the front door you, they will keep digging you up to have another bite. Management don't know how to treat people or how to speak nicely to the staff, they use strong, vocabulary to get the point across there is very few thank you moments. It is a completely negative workplace, if you go in with a really positive attitude they will kill it very quickly as you wilt under the pressure. Then they will have a go at you, because they want more. They haven't realised that you can't get blood out of a stone. The hardest part about the job is dealing with management and their constant hounding and excessive expectations. The most enjoyable part of the job is some of the lovely customers.
