What is the interview process like at ANZ?

5 answers

  • Group interview through employment agency with several tests including psychological, data entry and role plays; followed by interview with prospective manager and sometimes district manager.

  • Individual phone interview, personal interview, interview with other potential successful candidates and group activity.

  • As per usual. Interviewed with management then HR.

  • In the early days, the interview process involved a couple of the managers, some general questions about IT and customer service experience. Before I left I was involved in the selection and interview process and the interview process is different. The position was advertised then the manager and I went through the resumes. My manager was very experienced in identifying resumes that did not match the criteria, and the ANZ had a set of capabilities that had to be met. In fact, we choose these before the position was advertised. They were the criteria. He could also tell if resumes were not 100% true (qualifications & experience). Also, he was very big on spelling, grammar etc. Choosing a handful of people to interview was hard. Once we had decided the interview process was tough and we actually had to interview the candidates twice before deciding on the one. From my own experience, getting a job internally the process was very similar and just as hard. You need the experience.
