Horrible company. Step up your game APG
Process Worker (Casual) (Former Employee) - Cobden VIC - 16 January 2020
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThey were so horrible to work for. Was working for them and could never get in contact with them if I couldnt work. I was told to use an app they never checked. They would abuse workers when they never came into work. When i found out i was pregnant, they basically stopped giving me work and when I called they told me they couldnt disclose why they couldnt give me work... WORST company I have worked for and defiantly wont work for them again
Pros
None
Cons
Unreliable, never give you work when they was plenty.

Less pay for the same role. They prey on the vulnerable
Process Worker (Former Employee) - Ingleburn NSW - 10 November 2022
I must admit that the onboarding process was fast and easy. Expect to work a day or two after they contact you. They appointed me to a workplace which use two agencies to supply them casuals with - APG and another I am probably not allowed to mention. I discovered I was being paid 5% less than the other casuals who were employed by the other agency. All casuals performed the same duties in the factory. You can imagine how demoralising that would be and I got out as soon as I could. Another issue is their payroll officer. Wages and payslips are not transparent. It is your job to find out what days you work and for how long and verify with the payslip they send you. On two seperate occasions I had to chase them up about errors in my pay and I only worked with them for a month and a half. They are friendly and helpful but are dodgy and incompetent at the same time. I would only recommend this agency if you are desperate and need work ASAP.
Pros
Immediate start
Cons
Unfair wages, incompetent payroll officer

Great start to get into the recruitment industry
Recruitment Consultant (Current Employee) - New South Wales - 27 March 2022
Great start to get into the recruitment industry, management can be flexible with negotiation involved, start rate is fine, paid for weekly lunches, career advancements always available. Environment is repetitive, always have to have multiple meetings to negotiate change working conditions, don't take what you say seriously until everyone resigns than decides to do something about it.
Pros
Paid birthday off, paid health day if you have no sickies, weekly pays, Free lunches, friendly environment, clean offices
Cons
Need more staff, need to break up the job titles instead of putting in all into one name and say go for it, everyone leaves at once than you hve to pick up the peices, no hybrid options, no worklife balance, have to work Monday to Friday, no outstanding perks or benefits only the simple stuff, the onboarding process is way too long

Productive, fun and good work environment.
Garden Maintenance Supervisor (Former Employee) - Lonsdale SA - 16 February 2022
During my time with APG was different to what I did in the past. The job involved working with people with disabilities which led to a supervisory role. My job as team leader was to make sure that the vehicle was checked and all gear was in good condition including all safety equipment and first aid etc. That the workers had all PPE and aware of their duties including WH&S. I was apart of the grounds maintenance gardening crew so what I learnt and achieved while working with people with disabilities was respect and patience. Management was always there to listen and very supportive and often they would encourage us to keep up the good work and responded to any problem. The hardest part of the job was in relation to the Head Supervisors and their conduct and treatment to the workers, in which I felt they lacked interpersonal skills and compassion especially to the team leaders. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing that we did our best and that the residents were very happy and grateful for our services. Finally I think I won the respect of my team but more importantly they taught me trust, kindness and patience.

Hoorible bunch
Warehouse Worker (Former Employee) - Ingleburn - 6 August 2020
Typical of most agencies. Although this one is up there with the worst of them. Hopefully all these deadshit agencies will shut down for good and we can return to the old way of applying for work, Directly. Down with all recruitment agencies. All power to the Working Class

Official response from APG Workforce
12 August 2020It is unfortunate that you feel you have had a negative experience with APG Workforce. We would encourage you to contact your local branch to discuss this further.
pay is OK with decent hours but work practices/policies are non existent
Production Line Operators (Former Employee) - Beresfield NSW - 22 January 2020
Don't think for one second that yourself 1 of over 1000 people working there that u are a valued employee. you are disposable to them and if you take one sick day off with a written doctors certificate that is apparently required to be supplied from a casual employee they'll fire you in an instant and bring in another batch or poor souls in a week later. Some managers are nice and some are just so rude and will single out particular people and make them do extra while others keep there heads down just to walk out on time.
Pros
did give decent hour weeks for an ok hourly rate.
Cons
smells, cold, people are nice and mean well but some are just awful rude people.
