At home office
Half decent pay for what you do
At first you’ll get everything and told a lot of stuff and how hard it is to get hired there and the feeling of getting in will be because ‘it’s harder to get accepted at Apple than it is at Harvard’ - so your rewards will be simply having the privilege...
Offices are lovely, don’t expect to get any product for personal use, don’t expect to have the latest product to work with... usually 2-3 years old before even internal refresh. Staff discount is approx 20% off 1 computer and 1 phone and 1 iPad a year for YOUR use only. After a year you’ll get $500 credit on the apple store to use against a laptop or iPad only, never any discount on phones. Won’t get another one for 2-3 years. Must be able to present the device on demand to show you have it and didn’t sell it.
Friends and family can get 15% off through you buying for them. Approx 3 devices total a year.
Basically the perks are that you work there and will keep getting told how hard it is to get a job.
You’ll only get as far as your manager wants you to. If you’re not best mates with your direct manager or you don’t get along or don’t make them look like gold, you’re not going anywhere or even worse, may get palmed into a team with promises of wonders to come.... then get told they expect commitment and the job is nothing as told and the expectations are unattainable and they’ll stress you to max to leave or start managing you out (seen it happen to some amazing people).
Your first 1-3 years will be good...
Keep your wits about you. Nothing isn’t a test to see how you respond or do the job or task.
Even being asked to keep paper stocked for printers... if you don’t take it as top priority, you’ll be seen as not interested and didn’t adhere to expectations. Will go into hr Mangement system comments for all to see.
Great discounts and stock plan
