Interesting government agency with a broad remit
The Australian Communications and Media Authority covers a wide range of regulatory and other issues, some of which are starting to merge in the digital age. An interesting workplace with a good work/life balance.

Excellent area for learning how a Government Regulator works
A typical day was varied with meetings, emails, staff contact and customer contact. When working at the ACMA I learnt how to do more with less resources and become very efficient and effective in the way you do business. The management was very experienced and very structured in their approach whilst the co workers were dedicated, experienced professionals. The hardest part about the job was making 75% of the staff redundant over a six year period whilst the most enjoyable part was working with the staff in becoming a more efficient and effective section.
