Reviews for Bartender in Australian Venue Co.
Sometimes good, sometimes bad
Bartender (Former Employee) - Middle Park VIC - 8 October 2023
Some nice managers and some not-so-nice ones. Sometimes workplace felt frantic and unorganised. could get stressful. Overall an okay place to work but not the best.

OK place to get started, less recommended to grow your career here
Bartender (Former Employee) - Southbank VIC - 22 September 2023
Most of the time you wouldn't even be aware that your venue is part of the large pub chain. The good thing is that the company hires and trains new staff and helps you get into the hospitality scene. Working as a manager can be challenging though as in some venues some were known to work 150 hours a week.
Pros
Helps you get your foot in the door
Cons
Long hours for managers, Head office can sometimes be harsh and hide behind VMs.

Fun
Waitress/Bartender (Current Employee) - Jindalee QLD - 6 February 2023
Good learning experience, initially fun when you first start. Great rate as a casual but only alllowed full time if you are a manager and when the place isn’t busy you don’t always get the hours required or get to stay for your entire shift
