This company will not pay you...
Dog Trainer (Current Employee) - USA - 10 November 2021
While the job is fun and you get to train a variety of dogs over a variety of behaviors and has great pay and benefits (will get to that later), there are many flaws and they are on their way to losing a lot of staff. The pay does not come on time. I was told my salary was something, then when sent the contract it was less than we agreed to. They claimed my expenses will cover the rest (which is ridiculous because that's not how expenses work, you pay me back for what I'm paying, it's not 'bonus' pay. The onboarding process is chaotic and they have awful records. I've had to send them documents multiple times, or multiple people asking for the same documents. There is no training, you are given information you have to figure it out and process it. Fairly simple- but if you are someone that needs to be walked through each step it can be frustrating. The information they send you about dogs in minimal. You may not realize that dogs have a bite history until you speak with the people and realize that the dog is in the incorrect program or promises were made that you can't keep. There is an uneducated sales staff selling packages. Some are amazing at their jobs, others don't really know anything but love dogs. As long as you understand that it's pretty easy to talk to clients into what you need. The worst part about this job is the pay. I've worked here for four months and have been paid on time one single time. I've gone over a month without pay and am still waiting on back pay that they messed up. They decided my employment status was incorrect and I had to send them a copy -
Pros
Fun envirnoment, great group of people
Cons
Having fun at your job doesn't pay for anything.
