Underground Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 3 January 2021
Baminco is a good company to work at, only those people who have been working there for how many years that makes Barminco a bit keos and some controversial day to day work related problems most specially at the mining sites.
Pros
Free gifts
Cons
Long hours, some descriminating act's like, racial, work and language from those in higher positions.

Bad work culture back in 2010
Vacation Student (Former Employee) - Forrestania WA - 20 December 2020
I worked as a vac student for Barminco back in 2009-10 and whilst I was fairly new to the industry, it was a real 'blokey ' culture . Working 12 hours shift didn't phase me but don't expect the welcome mat to be delivered for newbies.
Pros
Good food
Cons
Unfriendly workmates, work can be physical

good camaraderie
Underground Operator (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 15 March 2020
Early start, long day, everyone is treated with respect and work well to have a good result come end of their shift.
I learned to have patience, look after workmates and machinery, respect for the nature of the underground environment
Hardest part of job was frustration when machine breaks down and you can't complete your tasks.
Enjoyable part of the job would be a successful shift underground, working well within a team and completing your tasks is rewarding.

Barminco
Operator (Former Employee) - Goldfields WA - 28 October 2018
It was ok to work for Barminco, Good experience. There was a lot of hands on and physical work involved with many of the jobs allocated but most of the guys will give you a hand and vice versa, was still a lot of the old school culture when i was there, which was good, work hard and safely, give each other a hand, don't whinge and moan. Made some good mates there
Pros
Good people
Cons
Away from home
