In early 2003, Super Retail Group identified camping and outdoor leisure products as a retail category which provided an opportunity to develop a new and innovative retail format.
In January 2005, Super Retail Group purchased the CampMart business which consisted of four Brisbane stores. This business became the platform to launch the company's new brand BCF - Boating Camping Fishing in October 2005.
