Challenging culture and terrible salary

Bendigo Health is a highly political and ego driven environment. The expectation is that you do significantly more work and at a level well beyond your pay grade. I learnt a lot but glad to be out of there. I dreaded going to work most days. It didn't help that the manager was a control freak and micromanager who withheld information and development opportunities.

Culture is toxic

There are numerous staff who role from one job to another, in each unit they cause havoc and spread the culture of blame. they have expertise in avoiding work and causing trouble. If you are good at what you do you will be a target of their nasty pack mentality.

Fun workplace but could be challenging

I love working at Bendigo Health as it has been a perfect work life balance. The work could be challenging depending upon that area you work in. I haven’t had any issues throughout my experience. I am totally enjoying this workplace.

I like working at hospital as you can move around and get a variety of jobs. Can be a little political. Sometimes who you know. Hard to advance if you don't grovel.
