Update - after email was sent I went to an in store interview. Was interviewed by area manager and then by the store manager. I was then introduced to a senior staff member and told to shadow her and ask questions. She showed me all the display cases, explained store procedure - all items over $500 are removed from cases every night and put into the safe. Then I was offered a sales position verbally and given paper work to fill out. In 2 weeks time I go in for induction and training.
I applied for Christmas casual work through SEEK online. I got a phone call and was asked if I would be able to do a phone interview - which was immediately done by the HR who called. She asked - take me through your previous work history and what you did there,do I have retail / sales experience. How do you approach a customer who enters the store, do I have any prior commitments that would stop me from working any Christmas hours, when can I start work? I she asked me could I attend an in store one on one interview in 2 days and offered me a choice of 3 time slots. She said she would send me a confirmation email which I received that night. Basically one on one interview in store and possible trial in store - bring all id, bank account, tax file number, superannuation info, reference phone numbers. Interview takes 1 and a half hours. If all goes well a position will be offered verbally that day.
First phone, then in person with one Store Manager and Area Manager and then a third with the Area Manager and the HR Manager.
