only work with them when jobs are short there supervisors were very short on communication skills they seem to under the pump then they passed in on to the work force,a great deal of safety aspects were ingnored.even though they pushed for safety but at the same time they had a dead line to keep hence the double standards BHP are top heavy to many chiefs to many people walking around doing nothing trying to justify there salary
.

no
Cons
yes long hrs on flat rate wage theft

Collaborative Engaging Constantly Changing
Talent Acquisition Specialist (Current Employee) - Brisbane Central Business District QLD - 25 February 2020
The culture is the biggest difference about working at BHP. When you first start, you can tell something is "off" to what you are familiar. Colleagues truly believe we are in a place where we can accomplish more in a few years than a decade elsewhere. Senior Management are friendly, and even VPs sit out on the floor with everyone else. It is a true egalitarian environment. BHPs commitment to innovating, gender parity and community are the reasons I stay and hope to stay for many many years to come.

Boilermaker
Boilermaker (Former Employee) - Boulder WA - 19 February 2020
I will never work there again for the period I was there I didn't do anything work. My experience there was bad and to make things worse the contracting company I was working for there didn't want to pay us so we took the matter to the union in which they had sorted it out for us.

Poor culture
Mining Supervisor - Open Cut Examiner (Former Employee) - Muswellbrook NSW - 16 January 2020
Very poor culture and unsupportive. Always looking over your shoulder in fear of getting knives in the back. Poor management who are threatened by people with ideas. Over complicated systems where the supervisor is merely a puppet. Worst culture I’ve ever experienced

Great Experience
Workshop & Store Manager (Current Employee) - Newman WA - 27 December 2019
The role at BHP is just perfect for me as it uses my basic knowledge of managing a department with little to no issues whatsoever. Communication with various other teams is somewhat staggered but then who is perfect? All-in-all, grateful for the experience into the industry

So much politics
Superintendent (Former Employee) - WA - 27 November 2019
Great place to work with some amazing talented people. The pay is great, but the endless day to day politics grinds you down after a while.
Some good managers, but like all big companies, lost of useless ones too.
