Was a job for the sake of a job
Not going to pretend it's more than it was, was just a job for getting by, can be a career if you want if to but for the most part, a job for school leavers who want to go to uniOnline Hub Member in Chermside QLD

Lovely people and fun environment
I found that the people were all wonderful and the job was enjoyable, but the salary is minimum wage. You do get discounts at all Wow group stores and an extra discount once a month.Retail Associate in Murray Bridge SA

Brought in mandate for covid vaccine
After bringing in the covid vax mandate woolworths terminated 1000s of their employees, some had worked for 10+ years. I am disgusted by this especially after being employed for 11 years almost it just felt like a great big kick in the guts. And I am not the only person who has had to face this. The company does not care about you, do not waste your time going for a job with them.Night Fill/online shopper in Strathpine QLD

I still miss it!
Working at big w was genuinely the best job I have ever had, I didn’t want to leave but needed more job security as I was only a casual, I had the best team and co workers and my manager became one of my closest friends. I miss it incredibly and wish I could of stayed, I worked on Night Fill and Online shopping and i enjoyed it thoroughly. I lost 15kgs just working here! Team Member in Upper Mount Gravatt QLD

Good retail experience terrible management
Great retail experience. If you never done it it's a good place to start. You can easily pick up hours from other calling in sick all the time. Staff are always will to help and teach each other. Management will never notice or acknowledge your hard work. They tend to not like casuals and favourite part timers. They also like to give you boring jobs they are ment to do as a manager because they rather do more interesting jobs. The company doesn't give out contracts even after working hard for 3 years at full time hours. Because the company as a whole isn't stable and they are scared having to pay people out and make them redundant. What would you say about your employer?
