Decent
Administration Assistant (Current Employee) - Australia - 26 October 2023
Decent place to work, some of the managers can be extremely unprofessional and rude. Will make fun of other staff behind their backs. Also major lack of direction and guidance. Good pay.

- Ability to meet personal goals
Understaffed and underpaid
Personal Care Worker (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 11 September 2023
very understaffed management is terrible, underpaid but expected to do the work of 3 people. Most staff who weren’t high up were easy to get along with and nice.

Good aged care work
PCW (Current Employee) - Currumbin Waters QLD - 21 August 2023
Good employer that allows flexibility and pays a decent wage for care workers. Opportunities for scholarships to become registered nurse. Nice management. Sometimes understaffed.

Very stressful, too much work for too little time
Hospitality (Former Employee) - Victoria - 20 July 2023
Horrible experience of my life. They seem to care and have all beautiful words for you. But in reality, they overwork you with little money and no application for your hard work. Management never really listen.

Incompetent and full of favouritism
HR Business Partner (Former Employee) - Queensland - 27 June 2023
More ego than capability. No fair, transparent recruitment processes. All about the dollar and box ticking. Grave concerns for appropriate resident care. No consultation. Work in silos. Completely disconnected.

Support limited very clicky work environment

Workplace culture is toxic, training limited, very clicky group. Loved the interaction with clients Not all staff are toxic. Bulling is rife in the company

Expect to much
Enrolled Nurse (Current Employee) - Bundoora VIC - 8 May 2023
When it was RDNS it was fantastic. But now it's all about productivity and reaching targets. The nursing lists are made up by office staff who have no idea what they are doing. Days are always overloaded.
Pros
Free flu Vax, salary sacrifice, discount private health insurance
Cons
Work overload, Lazy nurses. Poor pay

Great organisation to work for.
Team Leader (Current Employee) - Forest Hill VIC - 28 March 2023
Very supportive management, great culture. Training of new staff in call centre is top notch. The main concern is pay is reasonable but less than other similar industries and opportunities for progression is limited because they tend to make leadership positions require nursing degree, which may be appropriate in some circumstances, but isn’t always.

Do Not Work For Tis Company
PCW (Current Employee) - Brisbane South QLD - 26 February 2023
Absolutely abysmal, money hungry company. They dont care about your struggles, just as long as you're servicing clients. Only clients on packages are given priority and then charged exorbitant 'management' fees that alot of the times look like double ups. Calls and queries are rarely followed up on or take months to follow through. Constant staff shortages across the board and absolutely nothing meaningful is being done to rectify that. Incompetent facilitators. Just save yourself the anxiety. This company will not give a hoot about you.
Pros
Old people are cool
Cons
Everything about this company

Jobs at Bolton Clarke
Middle manager here, i would avoid working there
Clinical Team Manager (Former Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 9 February 2023
Not a very positive culture, seemed higher up managers felt like the team of nurses were doing something wrong. When a nurse was poor performing the person who managed the poor performance is not supported. High turnover. Bullying rife.
Pros
flexible day off
Cons
Culture - or lack of a positive one.

Worst job I've ever experienced
Client services advisor (Former Employee) - Kelvin Grove QLD - 11 January 2023
Worked for them for a year and half in head office Brisbane. Management was completely unprofessional and bullied most of the staff. Place was always completely understaffed. Not enough nurses or people to take the calls. The place was so terrible they made everyone redundant and moved it to Melbourne, even though they had moved it up from there a year and a half earlier. I feel for clients most importantly, no flexibility and not having enough nurses for the services they need.
Pros
It's a job
Cons
Literally everything

Very business orientated have lost client focus and core values
District Nurse Grade (Former Employee) - Northern suburbs Melbourne - 19 October 2022
Very sad to see this once respected service deteriorated into a purely business model. Limited opportunities for study/career enhancement. Some great people still work at BC but most have seen the light and left
Pros
Family friendly hours
Cons
Workload, culture

Toxic workplace
PCW (Former Employee) - Murrumba Downs QLD - 25 September 2022
Toxic place to work. No teamwork, residents aren't treated good behind closed doors. Management are rude and don't treat staff well. Staff are expected to complete heavy workload in unrealistic time frames. Often miss out on break times.

Good
Domestic Assistant (Former Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 22 September 2022
Pay is awful, people are great. Hard work but can be rewarding if you like people. Supervisors are good, they all seem to have worked their way up into their roles so they understand the job and are good at managing staff and their workload.

No where to progress to
Service Co-Ordinator (Former Employee) - Parramatta NSW - 24 July 2022
Working in a small all female office with bad vibes. No chance of progression. Management seemed to have very little experience. No collaboration or leadership

Community nursing is so varied.
District Nurse (Former Employee) - Forest Hill VIC - 7 April 2022
Learn heaps of new things in supportive environment. You'll get one on one training before you start to take on clients of your own. Can be isolated work, so good to make sure you catch up with the team for lunches etc. Communication via phone, email and teams. Plenty of variety in work. Pay is lower than hospital pay, but great salary packaging arrangements.

Pitiful, irresponsible, unsophisticated, clumsy, unfriendly, pathetic
Blank (Former Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 2 March 2022
Ill defined role. Irresponsible recruitment, inexperienced manager with zero people skills and obviously no people management skills. Management proactively encouraged “back stabbing” as a management tool. No idea. Just hopeless.
