To move up its more like who you know rather thn what you know. At times the Brotherhood is not what it seems. You can get some condescending managers and staff members like all workplaces but for a non for profit that is supposed to be helping others is quiet sad. I am thinking of moving somewhere else asap. Besides that there have been a few genuine nice people.
Local Area Coordinator (Former Employee) – Melbourne Northern Suburbs VIC – 11 June 2019
I thoroughly enjoyed working at the Brotherhood of St Laurence. It was a very busy position however there was always a lot of support for each other. There was a great amount of training provided and great benefits for the employees.
great career opportunities, work events, training
stressful, busy work load, part time hours weren't available
