Bunnings
Bunnings Employee Review
Bullying, Cover ups, Policy Breaches and Unethical Management.
Team Member (Former Employee) - Invermay TAS - 24 October 2022
I found a tremendous sense of fulfilment being able to help customers every day. I made some great friendships with fellow team members who worked alongside me in the trenches. It was a great place to work. The "leadership" (self-proclaimed title of managers) were only concerned with their own perceived performance. Constant roster and budget issues, always fudging the numbers. Bullying, victimisation, manipulation, gaslighting...you name it. Always someone else's problem or turning a blind eye. Trust and integrity goes both ways. They preach a safe workplace, a caring environment and strong ethical leadership. From what ive seen, it couldn't be further from the truth. They want to be accredited with all the positive corporate buzz words and moral virtue in the absence of the work necessary to actually attain it.
Pros
Discounts, Share Scheme
Cons
Toxic culture, virtue signalling and closed-minded management.

Chance for growth, good team. Highs and lows like any job. You always have the option to learn more about the products, more often then not benefit you outside of work too.

working for Bunnings has been the most stressed I have ever been. there is no flexibility for university students. I work 4 days a week, while going to uni and studying. management never seen to care about you just care about the dollar. they are unfair, and don't often allow for growth in leadership

Great place to work, until you try to hold management to the same standard expected of you.
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Invermay TAS - 5 March 2022
Management values are all for show, double standards and unethical decision making. Despite this, everything else about working at Bunnings is fabulous.
