Bunnings is by no means a bad place to work at, although i feel like a decade ago it would’ve been a much more sought after job. It feels as though over the past few years they’ve changed their direction for the future, but for the worse.

Fun and chill workplace

I work on reg or in bsco most of the time, but it’s pretty good, if you need help with anything just ask and someone will come and help, no fuss and make sure to tell someone or ask if you feel like you did something wrong, because then they can fix it for sure.

A good stepping stone

Working for bunnings is really flexible. Management can be a little how you going sometimes as it’s all about your personal relationship with them. This could be a blessing or a curse. Meaning that if your a bad worker but a fun person, management is happy to turn a blind eye which can get to some individuals

Good work team but management are toxic

Love the team I work with, however, management can be toxic. Very unrealistic expectations. Medium staff turnover. Many people have left due to disagreement with management

its better than lots of basic retail jobs

Its better than lots of basic retail jobs. Flexible hrs and can relocate and switch stores instead of finding new job which is nice peace of mind. manager can always be terrible but so is any establishment. can switch roles within the same warehouse due to various different departments and positions.

Very much a boys club

They go on about respect and integrity but don't follow it, leadership have zero care for what actually happens to the team on the floor and hardly ever follow the EBA agreement strongly recommend joining the union if you plan on getting a job in the green box and use them every time you think you've been hard done by because chances are you have, they will just make you belive it's the business requirements.

Loved the whole process. It was Friendly, Fun, Informative and Welcoming. They have an awesome team and vibe. They are helpful and caring. They want to make sure you are ok. So you can perform at your best whilst at work.

bad management and rostering

management is terrible and their rostering is atrocious, the people that have been there for a while are treated like royalty and if your knew you do everyone dirty work

Stressful but high pay for casuals

Bunnings is a good job fast and always doing something get paid fairly and the managers are productive for the company. But it is hard to get an advancement in bunnings hard to get different training besides the basics and hard to get a good contract as they hire so many casuals and give little shifts. So it’s first in first serve with shifts when they release the available shifts and it creates a toxic environment. But it is a good job flexible

High pay

Toxic work environment

If you’re looking for a job that you need to fill in a bit of your life while you work things out this is it. But don’t stay to long. Alright discount on in store items but the salary is below average so there’s no benefit to it.

I enjoyed my time at Bunnings. Great people to work along side.Great diversity they employe people with a disabilities etc. I worked in registers and meet and greet plus I did theft pervention

Over worked, micro managed ,limited access to training, poor product knowledge, led by an incompetent leadership team.

It's a poor career choice. With a very limited opportunity for advancement. Nepotism is rife and management lack integrity. CCTV capture all team members tasks.

Free parking.

Poor work/ life balance. If you don't have a life, this is then please apply.

Okay pay, management not the best and fun crew . Flexible hours to work, easy to get annual leave, pay isn’t the best it could be a couple dollars more

Fun place to work people are friendly

Great atmosphere to work in but not enough shifts and roster changes over night making it hard to arrange life outside off work because you don’t know what’s going to happen to the roster or the hours you will be needed good pay for casuals a lot off weekend work they are good to staff dress up days thank you lunches and dinners fun days uniforms supplied like everywhere good and bad points

Management will dictate your experience.

Great work environment which is completely up to whether you have a good management team or not. Unfortunately management is often changing and you'll go through periods of bad managers and good ones.

productive and fun

management doesn’t consider flexibility in rosters. constant abusive customers expecting you to know everything when barely any training is provided.

Fun Workplace and a lot of potential for growth

Excellent company to work for. They really look after their team members. A lot of opportunities to grow and advance in career. Would highly recommend

Bonuses, Gifts

Bank of Hours

No work life balance, bullying

The bonuses are nice when you get them, the discounts are great too, the shares they offer to you after working a year on is good, the team is good, the pay could be better, the banked hours are terrible and never work in your favor, the work life balance is abysmal and non existent, management not leadership is what you usually get and lack of integrity to boot, it's a great place to shop but another thing entirely to work in. My advice don't do it and if you do only short term.

Dress up days, occasional bonuses, shares and all your entitlements
