Reviews about Pay & Benefits for Nurse in Bupa

The pay is shocking

The company offers a dog's wage to all these hard working and amazing nurses. They also reward newcomers with better wages and benefits than those who have loyally worked there for years. Absolutely disgusting. All long standing staff should riot. They are getting laughed at by the CEOs and HR people when they ask for higher wages, yet, the company doesn't mind paying twice as much for agencies, and offers bonuses as well as mileage cover for newcomers

Cons

Low pay

Totally appalling experience! Management? A disaster, Nursing? Some fabulous Nurses drowning in a pile of paperwork WHICH CHANGES EACH TIME WITH A QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER WHO HAPPENS TO BE 'IN SITU' AT THAT TIME! Clinical decisions being questioned by staff who have had a couple of days of training in giving out medications, not all, just some. No leadership, No encouragement just complete humiliation. Typical day? Never enough staff for nursing residents and now the home is under embargo. What have I learned? if you value your 'pin' get out quick. Co workers? Hard workers being paid a little for a lot. The hardest part? leaving residents you love. Best part? the residents. Job description promises all sorts of benefits i.e Free lunch on a 12 hr shift (if you have time and there's enough cooked!) Free Uniforms, eventually Access to health, what? Discounted gym membership ( Laughable) Childcare? It isn't our problem if you have childcare problems! Continuing training? Not if you're a nurse! DREADFUL!! This isn't a rant by a bitter ex employee, it's from a nurse who's worked within the NHS for many years who just happens to love the older generation. My final comment is, there appears to be the same theme running through most review ( which really shouldn't be 3 star). We LOVE OUR RESIDENTS, BUPA ARE AN APPALLING COMPANY TO WORK FOR. Management are appalling,. The most positive comments came from staff that do not work on the 'floor'. And with respect to the level 3's out there, it's another kick in the teeth when you discover that your training is apparently no -
