Nice work space and co-workers but security team doesn't feel safe and patients can be demand as they are in private hospital which is fare.Poor management.

Lovely staff, good work environment

I have worked any many different hospitals but Cabrini is my favourite. The staff are kind, friendly and supportive. Although the pay is not as good as it is for PCA’s in aged care, I choose to work with Cabrini because I feel valued as an employee and enjoy the work.

What is the best part of working at the company?Building ongoing rapport with Customers, Key Personnel & Stakeholders.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Code of Conduct & Privacy abuse by Senior Manager non compliant & non supportive - demonstrated in his atrocious characterWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company?Pre- historic office area and Emergency Procedures protocol is outdated by decades. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Enjoyed helping everyone and providing helpful information, sound knowledge and charm to result in the ultimate Customer satisfaction. I know I made a difference to Patients & Colleagues in the professional way that I conducted myself. My communication skills were migrated to Cabrini through decades of experience in the Health industry.

morale is low

Management are out of touch with financial challenges facing their staff and patients. Management need to show more appreciation of the "people on the ground"

Good to work in overall

Okay to work here. Supportive with various opportunities for up skills if you need. Management is great, no complains. However, still less pay than public hospital.

Toxic work culture

Some senior staff members are difficult to work with, toxic environment in the dispensary. Poor leadership, no focus on clinical pharmacy, junior pharmacists are thrown into the deep end and feel unsupported. They last a year or so until they find another position elsewhere.

Great place to work

I work in the cardiac area, everyone is very supportive, friendly, we look after complex patients, but this is the rewarding part. Everything we do undepins the values of cabrini

Great team

The staff make the cardiac unit we have a fabulous team here, everyone is focused on patient centered care. It’s fun, fast paced the manager is fantastic as are all the staff. Complex cardiac patients, good ratios. Great salary packaging initiative. People are loyal and genuinely care.

Not a Great place to Work

I was a graduate RN with Cabrini a few years ago, in some of the wards the workplace culture is really toxic. You can often find yourself doing a lot of unpaid overtime, which is considered "normal", as most of the time you will notice staff staying here overtime for more than an hour. Unfortunately, you will find that getting a lawful break is a "miracle" in some of the wards here, and it is considered "so normal", that if you try and raise this issue with your managers, they will give you the advise to get used to it. Unsupportive staff and targeting workplace politics, further adds up to the workplace toxicity. We were more than 5 graduates on the word, and none of us chose to stay here.

Cabrini Outreach is the charitable arm of Cabrini Health, with the Asylum Seeker and Refugee Health Hub being the main service providing free primary care and mental health care to people seeking asylum. The small team are incredibly committed and passionate in providing an amazing service that is built on client trust, best practice and flexibility to meet clients needs. They are really engaged with the broader sector and work collaborative with others.

Super supportive, amazing team at Cabrini!

Often fast paced with the occasional "quiet" shift, assisting ortho patients in meeting their goals to get home and living more indapendently. People are so suportive, friendly and approachable. Hardest part of the job is sayiong goodbye to patients that you have been looking after for so long but is also the most enjoyable part as you build come to know your patients and become friends with them.

Mission and values based organisation, that has excellent leadership

Cabrini has clear organisational core values that are communicated effectively to all staff. It is a positive workplace where all are valued, supported and nurtured. It has a leadership and management style that encourages teamwork with open and honest communication. Feedback is welcomed and taken on board. There are generous opportunities for continued learning and progression.Goals are positively reinforced, and achievements are recognised and celebrated, creating a positive feeling in the workplace.

Fantastic organisation to work for

Cabrini holds its values in the forefront of their work ethic and presentation. Outstanding organisation to work for with supportive and engaging colleagues. Great work-life balance and fantastic long term career goals available. I highly recommend this as a place of work.

I have worked at Cabrini for 13 years. I feel very welcome at Cabrini, the staff are friendly and supportive. It is a great place to work and the mission and values are visible in staff interactions.

Exciting time to work in healthcare

Cabrini cares about its staff and succession planning of their team. Its a great place to work if you want to be valued, grow your leadership and clinical skills. Ongoing education is encouraged and management are supportive.

A truly values driven and rewarding organisation

Having worked at several big corporate organisations, I transitioned to Cabrini with ease. Leaders generally value their people and the need for professional development. The Cabrini values are genuinely demonstrated and expected of all employees. The pace during the pandemic was dynamic but remained respectful and collaborative, which was a truly rewarding experience.

Overview

The immediate team is great to work with however outside of the specific team there is a power pressure from upper management The hardest part of the job is moving goal posts and not having the time to give to those that need it.

Lovely people and environment with limitations

Lovely workplace, with a great team of people and nice environment. Not a great company for providing opportunities for advancement or work flexibility. Focus is mostly placed on nursing and physicians, with smaller departments often overlooked.
