Management ruins it
Sales Representative (Former Employee) - Maida Vale WA 6057 - 15 November 2023
Some lovely people working on the floor in the customer / courier side of it and can be rewarding work at times, but this is just ruined by the bullies in management. I mean real bullies like high school gossiping, publicly embarrassing staff and talking down to them which created a real toxic environment. I was also roped into doing tasks outside of my job description while they were looking for a replacement with the promise this would result in future consideration but this was never the case. Lesson learnt.
Pros
Fun people
Cons
Bullying managers

Worst place to work and don’t earn well to live a life
Owner/Operator (Former Employee) - Rydalmere NSW - 14 October 2023
They have become the worst people to work with from late 2022. Whether the management changed or they changed their policies, god knows what happened to them, they expect you to work 10-12 hours for them and they pay you with very little money. The customers always complains about how expensive they are charging for jobs and ridiculous policies to rip them off. Owner drivers stay away from them, they are liars, looters and not a good place for a small business.
Pros
Best example for a bad company that doesn’t take care of their drivers
Cons
Long hours, less pay, no respect

Poor communication between staff at Brisbane office. Long hours, sometimes 13 hours
Owner Driver (Former Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 6 September 2023
I worked for Capital Transport for nearly four years The first 3 years were great. I loved the job. Then there was a lot of staff turnover, with experienced allocators and drivers leaving and it became a job I hated. I learnt that it is no use complaining about a job or an allocator, because their attitude was that it was always the drivers fault. On two days in a row I was only given 2 hours work When I advised the Fleet Manager, I was told that all I do is complain I've been told that they have lost a lot of customers, so drivers earnings began to decrease. There is no reward for loyalty.I left Capital Transport in June 2023.
Pros
Nil
Cons
Long hours. They're not really concerned with their drivers livelihood.

Doesn’t worth all the effort
Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 2 March 2023
Honestly.. as a sub-contractor I was quite excited to work as a courier. Work independently was always the mainly reason to assume the role. You will be responsible to assume the costs of everything with no support whatsoever. Fuel, maintenance, insurance etc…you will be working long hours dealing with peak traffic all week long... and once you finally get to see your payslip IT’S LIKE HAVING A BUCKET OF COLD WATER splashed over your head. Poor payment mate, poor payment. To earn maaaaaximum $800 week be ready to be at least 10 hours behind the wheel MONDAY TO FRIDAY STARTING AT 7. It’s 10 hours with your car running and also be ready to spend a good deal in fuel because of that. I got a feeling I was like paying to work. No money left. They won’t be honest at the interview.
Pros
Work alone
Cons
Poor payment long hours

Great place to work and look after drivers.
Sub contractor driver (Current Employee) - Nudgee road hendra brisbane - 27 January 2023
I have found that if you do the work.allocated on your pda you can easily do 10 to 20+jobs a day and your pay will show that good earnings so long you do work .if a problem they will help you eg.low on fuel and your starting out you can get a Coles fuel card. If you need advance just see your supervisor who you met at interview
Pros
Free coffee and biscuits at base 😋
Cons
Some days long hours

Capital Transport in Perth is an excellent place to work.
Sub Contractor (Current Employee) - Perth WA - 12 July 2022
As a sub contractor courier driver there is lots of work if you want it. The more you put in the more you are rewarded by way of income, bonuses, competition prizes, giveaways and more. The office staff are all exceptionally nice and supportive and always there to help and encourage you. If you're looking to work in a Company that encourages growth and understands the work/life balance then Capital Transport Group Perth is where you'll find that.
Pros
Always work available IF you want it. Supportive staff
Cons
Sometimes there is that much more available that it can be long hours. But that's a choice.

Great place to work
Courier Driver (Current Employee) - Brisbane QLD - 6 July 2022
I found Captial transport to be a good company to work for. They’re always actively looking for jobs close to where you are and allocating them fairly. Sometimes you have to sacrifice yourself to smaller paying jobs but it usually works out in your favour eventually. As long as you’re consistent and logical, you’ll be rewarded for your efforts.

2 Tones Van driver (Current Employee) - Hendra QLD - 23 June 2022
Be careful all who want to work as a driver , everything they said in the add is lies , if you work and ask for salary they will tell you to keep working we will pay you But they never pay you till you leave the job , Never work in this company

Nothing good to say
Sydney courier for 23 years (Current Employee) - Sydney NSW - 21 May 2022
Brown nosing enhances your work. They parachute grubs into plumb jobs . They have no idea what loyalty means. If you refuse to do a job they hold it against you. If they give you a country job they expect you to do whatever they want for the next 6 months
Pros
None
Cons
Allocators are idiots that have no idea and if you refuse stupid jobs they hold it against you

Don’t do it
Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Melbourne VIC - 6 April 2022
Stressful job, minimum 11 hour days no matter what they say. Don’t get paid incentive every day. They charge you $1.5when they call you $60 a week. Asked to be paid daily like they advertised they didn’t. Charge you an admin fee to get paid around $11 a day. They say they will send you on a delivery on the way home that never happens, they say you will drive 220km a day it’s more like 350km and sometimes a lot more. If you have a DR appointment they will call you up and question you, then lecture you about doing it outside of operating hours but you work 7am-6pm if not later so it’s not possible. The operators will almost beg and start manipulating you to get you to accept a job because “they are really busy” or “it’s only 4:00pm” but they want to send you 175km away from home in peak hour traffic . They have zero care for their drivers they only care about making money. Beware they seem really nice at the start really friendly then they turn on you. I’ve worked there for 3 weeks and I am actively looking for other work. If you have any other options take that instead, the operators are snarky and speak down to the drivers.
Pros
No staff interactions
Cons
Long hours, costs, pay incentives

Fast paced, productive team environment with an outdoor deck and pool table!
Group Sales Manager (Current Employee) - High Wycombe WA - 27 June 2021
I have worked at Capital Transport WA for 6 years and have been lucky enough to be offered exceptional career growth, professional/personal development (internal and external), a great work life balance, guidance and support. It's a family business and they work with integrity, going over and above for employees to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be successful. They work with you to take your career in whichever direction you choose, whether it be leading a team or going solo. You choose your route. They encourage you to take holidays and spend time with your friends and family. I had my first child while working with Capital Transport and cannot fault the support and flexibility I was offered along the way while finding my feet as a first time mum.
Pros
Social club, monthly breakfasts, lunches, coffees, BIG $$$ sales awards, pool table, outdoor deck, beautiful office, advanced new technology
Cons
Not a con, but you only get out what you are willing to put in.
