Can get really busy and under the pump. Clientele are some times very difficulty but overall fun place to work. Not having 2 days off in row or weekends off is rare.

Poor management

You will only get far in this company if your a yes man. They look after you if your in a position of power or if you know someone with a position of power in the company. You could be the best worker they have seen, but at the end of the day, you are expendable if they don't want you there anymore they will find a way.

Pros

30% staff discount

Cons

The running of the business

Not enjoyable/realistic

•Alot hours for little pay•can be hostile environment with the staff and customers • I’d only go through with position if last resort •high turn over with staff 🚩

No future prospects

Average salary, don't encourage out-of-the-box thinking. Administration staff don't get any training just get thrown in the deep end. You can get better pay and conditions elsewhere for a lot less stress.

Pulled the ol' switcheroo

Was meant to be employed as a floor staff sales member.First week there it became very clear I was not going to be out on the floor. What I was going to be doing was cleaning dirty lawnmowers and the likes with cleaning liquid and a toothbrush, with very little to no protective equipment mind you.Soul sucking work with no day light to be seen. Back when I worked there they seemed very strict on things like lunch breaks being 30mins exactly and "minimal Toilet breaks". Felt like they wanted a robot. Left after a week. Management was not supportive.

Best workplace since I started working

Fun work environment where the managers genuinely care about you. From day 1 I’ve received lots of personalized training. Managers are nice and caring and they often shout free drinks and chocolate. This is the first job I’ve enjoyed coming to work. The managers make me feel like I am doing well and succeeding.

Pros

managers and most staff are nice

Cons

Staff who shouldn’t be there and customers can be rude

Stressful, discriminative and I dread going every single day

What is the best part of working at the company?Nothing. Management discriminates staff and customersWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Being left to handle all of the customers on my own, management treating me like a maid and being made to feel like I am incompetent What is the work environment and culture like at the company?stressful, drains the life from you, What is a typical day like for you at the company?I get to work, do every morning task on my own whilst juggling between serving customers, pricing stock and completing my modules. Management offers me no assistance and I am debating quitting this position.

Bad place to work at

This place was not a good place to work I worked at it in 2016 and it was the worst place I have ever had to work out, nothing in it is good at all to work for

One man team

Higher management is useless and only care about themselves. Pay was rubbish for the amount of effort you put in. Work was pushed on you with no rewards.

Pros

Great on the floor team

Cons

Work loads, higher management, pay.

Productive, fun work place.Career development

What is the best part of working at the company? The people are amazing. Especially my leaders they’re 110% committed to you and helping you develop your careerWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company?Stressful would be the first 3 months, learning legislation, the system we use. But once you get over that 3 month hurdle it’s smooth sailing What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Motivational, laughing. Minimal stress, random pizza days. Work functions! All positive vibes What is a typical day like for you at the company?Walk in turn on your laptop on, have abit of a chat to the group, check your work load, check your schedule. Put your headphones on and start working, might be a meeting or 2 throughout the day. But it doesn’t impact your KPI as they’re adjusted

Strong team culture

Gets a-bit repetitive No progression offered by management at all despite being very eager early on Hardest part is to be mentally strong all the time Tips Expect a diverse crowd

Probably one of the BEST jobs I’ve ever had, highly recommend anyone to try and see for yourself

The store I work at has a great, positive environment to be in, there’s no drama within staff (it’s always between unruly customers) and everyone helps each other out,

Pros

Staff and working environment

Cons

The typical unruly customers that come

Productive and fun workplace

Was a great experience getting into retail and was a friendly environment. All the staff welcomed me and they made sure i understood all my tasks with ease.

Pros

Great staff

Very stressful

Dealing with customers who are mostly in tight situations, needing money and doing all they car to get it. The buys department is always crazy busy with minimal staff so employees never gets breaks before 2pm, also never got our two 10 min breaks either unless you smoked it seemed. Sometimes it felt morally wrong what we did for people and management are highly strung, hard to get help from and constantly pick on little things to threaten your job with. It was awful. I left there with the worst anxiety I’ve ever had.

Pros

Colleagues in your department understand, Discount, meeting interesting people and seeing some cool stuff

Cons

Communication, push for sales/deals, poor management, stressful

The worst place to work

Management and HR are a JOKE. They do not care about you at all as an employee, you are just expendable regardless of whether you work hard or not. There are no employee incentives and you are treated poorly. You are always expected to drop everything and work up to 7days a week. No work-life balance. In my years at Cash Converters I noticed their dealings were very unprofessional. Do not waste your time and apply here I promise it is not worth it at all. A lot of current employees are trying to find a way out! Don’t put yourself in this position. They are terrible people.

Pros

None

Cons

Over worked, no time off, bad management and team leaders who take no responsibility and use you as their scapegoats, very toxic workplace

Cashies was my life.. litterally

worked so hard at cashies. Was promoted to management pretty quickly and dropped like a bag of crud quicker. In my 2 and a half years I saw too many people come and go. One even leaving in a police car.

Pros

Cheap video games

Cons

Everything smells like german roaches and the boss is really stupid.

Mean spirited and nasty management who are out for themselves. Poor work ethics from many staff which means the few hard workers have to work harder.

Do not work for this company EVER. You are expected to do unpaid overtime EVERY WEEK. Management will use anyone as a scapegoat for their own incomptencies. Bonuses can be taken away without discussion.

Pros

None

Cons

Over worked, underpaid and undervalued no matter how hard you work.
