Healthy work environment

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
I do really like Working with NSW health as it maintains a healthy work environment. Most wards have their own educators and there is ample of support to further develop your skills and knowledge

Poor culture, minimal support provided.

Expectations of care far outstrip what is physically possible to provide. If not redeployed to be flogged in an understaffed hospital, then unit itself is short staffed and unsafe. Many colleagues disengaged and already silently quit, nil repercussions for lazy teammates leading to intense burn out for the caring, usually the newer ones. Glad I got out.

It’s not worth the money

If you find somewhere that isn’t Community Nursing you might be ok, management are not supportive. Poor staffing levels were normal and overtime expected

Review about Central Coast Local Health District Have really nothing to say that hasn't already been said, and really don't feel comfortable reviewing when I still work here

Productive and friendly place to work

I enjoyed working as a ward clerk. I found it had its challenging days which I like to be challenged. The staff and support was great. The hardest part of the job was when a patient had passed away and doing the paperwork on discharge for them. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new people and making new friends.

Control of working life is missing

The staff in the specific environment I worked in were good. Responsibility expectations are high as they should be. Autonomy in the clinical setting is limited.

Excellent training given to nurses. Wyong/Gosford have a very good and organised casual pool

Nice hospital, wanting to help the community and provide good health care, hoping for a productive outcome. This hospital is a growing hospital, population is expanding and hospital requires to expand with the growing area

Pros

Wyong has a Detox Unit

Cons

12hour shifts
