Toxic management and bad pay
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Clovelly Park SA - 22 November 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe management is not nice to you at all, will laugh at you when you're crying, check the cameras and go on power trips about the tiniest little incidents and creating horrible rules, and the pay is minimum wage and is too little for how much work you go through especially if you work as a storeman

Not worth it
Staff Member (Current Employee) - Clovelly Park SA - 29 November 2023
Good if your desperate, but don't want to be there long. Especially this store. Very high expectations for the bare minimum wage. Owners say we should be grateful to have jobs as to why they don't pay well.

Good stepping stone
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Ashby WA - 10 November 2023
Started working here before studying pharmacy and was a great place to learn. However was severely understaffed and felt there was no support for growth which is why I left - no fault of CWH I just wanted to explore more opportunities. Great place to make friends.

Terrible
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Cannington WA - 31 October 2023
Low pay and rude management. Always expected to work hard for low wages. A lot of favouritism. The staff were great and good for first job but wouldn’t stay longer than 6 months

Productive but didn't offer much hours
Pick Packer (Former Employee) - Eagle Farm QLD - 26 October 2023
10 hour shifts but for a casual you could be working only 5 to 6 hours depending on how busy the day is. First week you'd start making tote boxes manually so it was difficult having to stand there for up to 10 hours sometimes making boxes. I left and they had the box machine but just waiting to be set up. Pick packing was easy just needed to stay above KPI targets and you'll be sweet. Work environment was lovely and a lot of perms were really nice, just have to watch out for some who might report you for talking or not having a safe work area and that sort of stuff. They will start to offer perm roles when they see that your consistent in attending your shifts and your KPIs are really good.

Okay
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Strathfield NSW - 22 October 2023
Requires being able to work independently and autonomously. Tasks can be fairly routine and a major plus is knowing time management. The negative was the inconsistent hours, shifts despite full-time varied dramatically during the week. One day is 10-6, the next 11-7, the next 8-4 etc

Stock Replenishment (Former Employee) - Bairnsdale VIC - 21 October 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Was ok till you get let go for silly reason then found out it was discrimination What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Mainly the manger as we had to get stock out in 10 minutes What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Was awesome to be able to work on a team What is a typical day like for you at the company? I don’t work there anymore but was good every day I worked

Terrible management and ok wage
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Sunbury VIC - 16 October 2023
If I could give this 0 stars I would. Management at my particular store was horrible, she had no clue how to manage a store at all or be a good role model, higher ups are also bully’s and not professional at all. They pay is Ok

Absolutely atrocious. Avoid!
Customer Service (Former Employee) - Preston VIC - 11 October 2023
A typical day starts with being harangued and likely being told you're a hopeless basket case with no prospect of worthwhile existence now or ever. Be ready to be told you're a person with no worth on a daily basis, sometimes bi-daily if not 3 times. They'll ensure you start to question your sanity and once you're let go at the 5 month 26 day mark, get ready for the call to 'give you the final rites'. As for the current manager there - well, probably try learning the systems you implement and don't blame your employees for lack of your knowledge and berate them at every turn. Also learn some mental health support when your employees need it and not tell them their job is on the line twice in a week when it wasn't. Lastly, when someone complains making up what happened isn't good practice using that against you and gaslighting and outright mistruths - this is not how a place should be run. Oh - and instead of having people reporting back to gang up on each other isn't good practice either. Badly run organisation.
Pros
Paid on time.
Cons
Too many to list.

Not the worst job but not the greatest
Pharmacy Assistant (Current Employee) - Moorabbin VIC - 2 October 2023
The communication with management is terrible, borderline abusive workplace behaviours from the manager, but super lovely co-workers help you through it.
Pros
Staff discount, flexible hours
Cons
Tedious, poor management

Goof job for students
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 22 September 2023
They were very flexible around my timetable during uni, a great perk. However, the store tends to get quite busy, and you may be required to work constantly by yourself in one aisle. The pay should be higher for the workload. Overall management was great.

Productive but busy
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Burwood NSW - 22 September 2023
Busy and tired sometimes, and lack of employees, so you need to do double workload when it's busy. However, the working environment is pretty good, colleagues are friendly, the manager is strict. pay is alright, above the minimum rate, but still feeling not worth it.

not bad
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Chadstone VIC - 18 September 2023
can be boring and slow paced but not the worst job. its the kind of work that can be quite dependent on the people you work with being good as the work itself is not very fulfilling. if ur boss and coworkers and good then youll have a fun time.

you are rewarded with awful pay... but fun co-workers
Pharmacy Assistant (Current Employee) - South East vic - 12 September 2023
You are given a set of things to complete which in most cases is doable but when it's busy and there are just TWO other people, sometimes ONE other person (in the fairly large store). It is truly horrible and customers only make it worse. I really enjoyed interacting with the staff at my workplace and that will probably be the main reason you enjoy working as the discount (10%) doesn't amount to much. My main complaint is the pay, it is ridiculously low, especially considering the costs of things right now. Not livable. Does not get better the longer you work there either. Do I recommend working there... not really.
Pros
10% off on top of their cheap perfume is nice.
Cons
LOW pay.

Not great
Pharmacy Assistant (Former Employee) - Perth WA - 5 September 2023
Only hire part-time or full-time. Management don't care about staff. Pay is low. It can be tricky dealing with customers' prescriptions. Some of the staff were great though.
