The values are a joke
Office Administration Assistant (Former Employee) - Narre Warren VIC - 30 September 2022
So many people have moved on from this organisation that what is left is in complete disarray. An organisation with the value of ‘empower each other’, yet working there was the most disempowering experience I’ve ever had - could not overcome the obstacles no matter how much effort I put in.
Pros
Coffee machines and free fruit
Cons
Too many to list

Very hard to get anything done
Council Worker (Current Employee) - Vibe or Bunjil - 22 March 2022
Too hard to do your job, you typically don't work your PD. Long hours and management have limited knowledge to do anything outside of the standard work they have done for a decade. Too many layers of leaders to get the simplest thing done. Low staff empowerment.
Pros
community
Cons
long hours, endless meetings that managers using to explore their own thoughts.

Great place to work
Subdivision & Engineering Assistant (Former Employee) - Casey TAS - 11 November 2019
I loved working at Casey Shire Council.
Workmates are friendly and the services that the Management provide staff are excellent. Best I've seen and experienced.
I was employed under a contract type of position and would have loved to continue to work there under either casual or a part time basis due to my location.

Productive working team helping the residents of Casey.
Senior Administrative officer (Former Employee) - Berwick VIC - 10 November 2016
The council went through massive changes of leadership and team balance over the last few years.
I always enjoyed my work and now look to work in a part time or casual basis.
Like anywhere there was disharmony and unpleasantness but I distanced myself from that so that it did not affect my work.

This was a job I enjoyed for almost ten years.
Direct Care Worker (Former Employee) - VIC - 28 July 2015
After completing my cert. III in aged care I started working for the City of Casey as a part of a large team of home and community care staff. During this time many senior staff changes occurred and were regularly accompanied by different systems for doing things. This was always done with the intention of making things run more smoothly but sometimes brought about a new set of challenges.Generally though things ran pretty well and the clients were provided with a good range of services that were delivered by cheery staff. The home care team at Casey were a good bunch of people to work with.

City of Casey Bushland Crew (Former Employee) - Melbourne, VIC - 10 December 2013
A typical day would be arriving at 6:00am or 6:30am and working out in the bushland until 3:30pm.
I learned a lot about plants, but also that it was not the right career choice for me.

My co-workers were extremely helpful and friendly.
Hardest part was being outside all the time.
Most enjoyable part was working with great people and seeing a lot more of my local area.
Pros

Long tiring days.
