Good barrel of Apples, unfortunately ruined by a few rotten ones
IT (Former Employee) –  Canary Wharf, Greater London18 January 2018
Clifford Chance now does not deserve the reputation it once had as a top tier Law Firm.

Poor management culture in Business Services, a sycophantic CIO, financial/spending mis-management, and projects that are so poorly run they almost never end.

Unless you are working there as a Lawyer, in which case you have absolutely nothing to complain about (see: Obscene Salaries), there are probably better places to work.
Pros
Great People, good facilities
Cons
Poor Culture, Inconsistent financial/spending management, poor business services culture

Work Experience (non-compulsory) (Former Employee) –  Canary Wharf, Greater London2 January 2018
As the title says, they gave me a lot of responsibilities straight away. I was under a paralegal and a trainee lawyer, the latter was clueless but the Paralegal was always helpful and kind.

SharePoint Consultant (contract) (Former Employee) –  Canary Wharf, Greater London25 September 2017
The practice has restructured to decentralise IT from London to India in my experience this was as disaster. Things may have improved but I was hired to clear up the mess.
Pros
Stunning building and location

Senior Associate, Capital Markets (Former Employee) –  London8 August 2017
Although the work is hard and rewarding, the process of advancement is somewhat opaque and left much to be desired, especially for those who toiled on the way up.

Corporate Associate (Former Employee) –  New York, NY3 July 2017
Culture historically not focused on associate development, but things may have changed. Large international law firm and global practice. Diversity may be an issue, but improvements may have been made since.

IT Consultant (Former Employee) –  Canary Wharf, Greater London23 March 2017
A challenging working environment; people either remain for many years or leave after a brief period; it is quite binary in terms of culture and isn't the best fit for everybody.
Pros
Excellent facilities and great location.
Cons
Long hours, some feel the management style is agressive

The working hours are sometimes endless but you have opportunity to acquaint yourself with some of the biggest transactions on the market. Your colleagues are great and corporate culture is outstanding. The key is to remain focused because any failure can result in the huge bulk of problems.
