Cleaner (Casual) in Brisbane QLD

Work/life balance for students but team members gossip about each other way too muchManager is kind, professional and very accommodating of me as a full-time student. Shout out to the best manager I've ever had. But that can really depend, as a previous manager tried to pressure me to accept shifts during exam week. As in they tried to guilt me into it three times within an hour. I already had 20 hours that week and could not accept anything else on my plate as I had 3 exams. I know that managing can be stressful but you should not be pressuring an employee to work when they explicitly have stated they cannot on multiple occasions. Some opportunities for extra shifts. People sometimes call in sick the day before or day of their shift. Break room always has a few snacks. If you hate early starts, the morning shift is definitely not for you. Smaller stores often have one person on at a time (sometimes even on weekends) where you have to multitask by doing both cleaning and trolley collection. Very fast-paced and it's not easy to do each individual component of each task on the cleaning list. Depending on your store, coworkers can be wonderful warm people or chronic gossipers who talk about how much they hate each other to you.
