Treated like dirt by higher management.
Was sexually harassed twice and nothing was done about it.
Made to work over time and laughed at when I asked to be paid for it
Worked 12 hour days with a 5 minute lunch break.
Ended up quitting due to mental health.

Worked here over christmas, very fun and hands on, stores are a bit crowded though. Manager was a little iffy sometimes also, often felt my commission sales were being taken.

Friendly, close knit team.

Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Sydney NSW1 January 2019
Great way of teaching staff sales methods, poor management and lack of care for employees was a big let down. Workplace culture is very diverse and very dynamic never making it boring working there.
Pros
Commission earned, flexibility
Cons
Lack of management and care for employees

Ridiculous standards for a mediocre brand.
Retail and Customer Service (Current Employee) –  Melbourne VIC23 August 2018
Worked 2 years. Ridiculous standards for a mediocre brand. Little hours for most stores, so they end up over working you without paying you for that. They always find something bad to say about your efforts. Even if you've had a great week in sales, the'll try to find something else so you won't feel you've done a good job and that you always have to do more. We are "ALWAYS" the last people in the centre to leave our store when closing, due to the ridiculous standards put by the management team. The only reason why I am still here is because of personal circumstances. I don't understand the mentality of this company! They rather save hours than make budget. They always make you feel worthless by always reminding you that your very lucky to work with them. And they always leave you with the thought that you might get fired at any moment. "You can work for this company and you'll know why I am saying all this". This is only the tip of the needle. Good luck.
Pros
Career progression, which you probably dont want, trust me.
Cons
Nearly everything else, I dont hate this company, Im just being honest

It was eh
Team member (Former Employee) –  Redbank QLD31 May 2018
It was alright, nothing too out of the ordinary, it is essentially just rocking up and getting stuff done. You do what you're told. They dont offer much advancement if you dont fit into their box.
Pros
Money
Cons
Heaps

Given consequences for not achieving targets
Casual Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Illawarra NSW24 March 2018
Daily jobs are unrealistic and staff are then in trouble if you dont make enough money or sell enough items
High staff turnover and staff that are loyal never have the opportunity to grow or progress higher then a casual role, if you miss your target one week you will have your shifts cut to only 1 3hr shift for the week
Pros
Discounts
Cons
Management and area manager

Competitive and difficult work environment.
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Queensland4 August 2017
Connor Clothing provided a very competitive environment to work in. Because the wage per hour is so low it meant that the majority of your income came through commission. This meant that every sales person working in the store was fighting for the suit sale or the sale over $100.
Was horrible to be surrounded by such toxic people and situations.
Pros
Payed for training events
Cons
always over staffed which made getting commission impossible

Unique and trendy place to work at
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) –  Dandenong VIC8 February 2017
The work atmosphere was the biggest positive of the company. This is due to the fact that most Connor employees are of a similar age. and therefore allow you to relate to them.
