Don't spend more than 12 months here if you value your sanity. High turnover, low morale, abusive customers and court users at every turn who demand anything and everything and treat staff and members (judges) with disrespect, management are out of touch with workers and try to pit workers against each other for promotions and other roles.
So many change proposals for the sake of change proposals, and the proposals are there to cull employees and talent rather than add anything to the business.
CSV tend to offer a lot of temp roles/12 month roles, which are great for individuals to gain experience, but are horrible for the business. It takes about four weeks to train someone on the basics in any area of operation, plus ongoing training is needed. This distracts star employees and management from their roles and puts extra pressure on teams. The cycle repeats yearly. Seldom do these temps get offered permanent positions when we really need the extra assistance.
Paper heavy system with unreliable electronic systems that would be outdated by mid 2000s standards.
No rewards for employees who go above and beyond, so most employees don't bother doing exceptional work. Mountains and mountains of paperwork that could be easily automated takes up the bulk of time and workload.
I'm glad I left, and I'd never go back. My fellow staff kept me going when things got tough. If you do get a role here, join the union.
Staff are lovely and ease the pain, great way to build experience
You cannot move up in this business or feel secure about your job if you are a temp
