Working with time sensitive goals
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON27 December 2018
The most enjoyable part of the job is working with your co-workers, learning and leveraging their strengths to achieve goals.
The hardest part of the job is the occasional long hours needed to meet tight deadlines.
Overall, a good learning experience for traditional corporate office operations but lacks innovation and open-mindedness due hierarchical structure that often block or limit communication channels and minimal skills in change management during rapid growth spurts.
Pros
Good learning experience
Cons
Egocentric Leaders and Management, High Micromanagement

Culture used to be great, now horrible
Analyst (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON16 November 2018
Entrenched power, constant restructurings, job uncertainty, political mess, no accountability (other private funds have carry to address this), way too bureaucratic

High performing environment with micro aggressive culture
Senior HR Global Analyst (Current Employee) –  toronto3 October 2018
The organization has great resources to work with and they hire extremely top talent. The only issue is there is a clear favoritism to people with no ethnically backgrounds.

They have worked pretty hard to have great policies and compensation but there is a lot work to be done in shaping a culture that promotes a healthier environment for work.
Pros
Salary, learning and future opportunities outside the company
Cons
condescending and patronizing behavior, Inner exclusive groups with higher privilege

Its a great company to work for and be with. They spend a good amount of training, team building and re structuring

Working within IT is also a great learning curve over the 3 years I spend with CPPIB. They were inclusive about incorporating my experiences from Infosys, Manulife and RBC and was able to leverage off many projects

They have a good work life balance. I liked that. They have a good culture for juniors. There were a lot of opportunities to learn from others and to teach others.

Good place to work, although somewhat slow-paced. Work culture was mostly relaxed and friendly. Learning opportunities vary between different groups and is very specific to the PM you work for.

Smart and professional people, mid management is not as great.
Senior Analyst (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON15 August 2017
It is hard to make changes in some departments and largely due to the mid management's attitude that disapprove improvements and avoid risk. The culture doesn't encourage people to transfer internally, again due to mid management and HR policy.

People are very well educated and professional. I generally appreciate the intelligence of the working environment. Attitude is not as open-minded and leading as one would imagine given the company's great reputation in the industry.
Pros
intelligence
Cons
attitude is not matching with intelligence

Great Company
Guest Service Manager (Current Employee) –  London, Greater London16 December 2016
Great company to work for if you're in the right role for you. They are all generally really nice, hard-working people.

I enjoyed working there, although this particular role was not suitable for a graduate, as I am. It was more of an in between job role.
