Flexible hours, but will budget cut you.
Great to have some flexible hours in my role. Really appreciate my line manager's undertstanding of mental health.Given that it's a global pandemic, some mangement areas allows few work from home days, most require people to show up in person.Everytime that pennies can be pinched, they'll pinch staff & resources. No job stability. Will restructure you elsewhere if you survive the cut.Parking has constantly increased in price.
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOW in Perth WA

No career progression opportunities
Everyone from management to researchers are only concerned about protecting their own position. Toxic and predatory work culture. No career progression opportunities. Restructuring every few years mean no stability.

Pleasant Environment
Good place to work, everything was nearby, but pay was poor compared to private industry. Pleasant environment to work in, but difficult to get some things done.

Curtin University is a good place to work. The University encourages work life balance. Also advancement through education and some courses are available for staff.
