I work five days a week, from Monday to Friday. I really like the job because I have experiences and skills for this job. I do picking and packing different orders, labelling, final checking before the order goes out. I do counting the products as part of inventory. I also use RF scanner for picking. The hardest part of the job is pending to wrap the pallet and standing too long at the same spot but working everywhere like picking, packing, making boxes, stacking, labelling, helping others, its better. But I like picking orders doesn't matter how much orders to pick. At work, everyone is respectful, no one says bad things to the other person. Employees do not quarrel but we help each other to finish our work for the day before we go home.

Very difficult to work

A lot of training not suited to daily running of business.Very poor structure.3 State Managers in the past 2.5 years.No management structure.Poor training to achieve your daily goals. No input or help from other states. In house disagreements.

A day at DHL would be your average days work from being given tasks and instructions to follow and having to complete these accurately by the end of day to meet customers satisfaction. Daily checks of KPIs and daily housekeeping being met also. Employees were given opportunities and further educational courses. The hard parts of the job were the increase in volumes when we’d be short staffed. The culture of the people will always be the BEST part of the job.

Re employment to employees who have Health Issues with your family.

multicultural site but beware of other culture as they only give priority to casual worker if they know that they are the same culture and never give permanent employees proper information to do any overtime and lack of communication.

A typical day at work. Checking on emails to do follow ups or extra orders that have dropped in over nite if any, process any orders that have dropped into our systems pick and pack orders that are outstanding or urgent. The team is always there to help and support when necessary. The hardest part of the day is when so many orders drop in that are urgent or a client wants their shipments asap and you have to organise transport and shipments to get to them asap. The best part of the day is ALWAYS home time. :-)

Pros

Very supportive. Amazing admin/managerial staff assistance. Open door policy to chat at any time.

Cons

Sometimes there is more work and not enough staff to assist with the various tasks

I spent my past few years working for DHL and this was my great experience. Working in DHL was really comfortable in such a fantastic atmosphere. Even the people were good to work with. Also i appreciate the assistance they provided in guiding us. The motivations are really helpful. They really care of people and the way they are treated. They compensate employees for their hard work and you always feel like being part of the family over there.

Typically the day starts with stretches and meeting to discuss the duties for the day. I learned new skills ongoingly and was given opportunity to grow Hardest part was dealing with the back stabbing and gossip Most enjoyable part was knowing that I had a part to play and was given adequate training

A typical day would consist of Picking/Packing & Dispatching many orders. Learnt that a lot of attention to detail is required. Management were always there to help & had a major responsibility of their own. Co-Workers were very much a bunch of team players. Hardest part of the job was the 12 hour+ shifts. The most enjoyable part was being recognized for all your efforts at the end of everyday.

An early morning start

Driver/Storeman/Cleaner (Current Employee) - Greystanes NSW - 27 January 2013

Arrive 4:30 am to start work. Forklift duties to start, stage runs for daily driving duties, load van in order of delivery, organise paper work for day. Start deliveries thatr can take me to various destinations around Sydney Metropoliton area and some country areas, deliveries sometimes require security clearances before they can be made. Return to base once deliveries have been done and organise paper work to finish the day. Conflict resolution is a part of my job between customer and head office, customer service is an integral part of my day while representing the company, this is a mobile service representative for DHL. Interaction with my work colleagues is limited as I start early and am on the road from 6am til 2pm. Outside of regular work hours we have many social occasions that give us a chance to talk and enjoy the company.
