Great place to work

Great people, high performing team and wonderful learning environment. Lot of career development opportunities. Challenging environment to retain talent at times as very high expectations.

Toxic culture

A place like Deloitte is a great way to start your career because having it on your CV opens doors and really prepares you for the next role in your career. You have to be willing to put up with the ridiculous hours, and horrible culture though.Managers are there because they're good at the technical part of their work but don't know how to lead people. It's cliquey. People are extremely overworked and stressed. The gossip is out of this world. It's like high school, but worse.

Allows you to craft your role

Largely positive experience with leaders who are genuinely invested in your growth and plenty of opportunities for you to design your own role through seeking our projects that interest you.There is quite a lot of pressure but that is all part of the learning curve.

Great workplace, lots of support from team leaders. There wasn’t room for growth and the pay wasn’t great.The Kpis were unrealistic and the workload and time given didn’t make sense.

Worst decision in my life - high pressure, totally unrealistic expectations and absolutely no work life balance. You are sold to projects without having the right experience

Fast paced great learning

So many different career paths and opportunities at Deloitte. Projects are faced paced and you work across a bunch of leaders so you’re continuously learning. Not all the partners are great to work for but you have the opportunity to find the great ones and work under them

Flexible and supportive work environment

Deloitte flex policy allows you to choose your working hours so you are not committed to work between 9-5. Immediate team is very tight knit and supportive of each other and your mental and physical well-being is well looked after.

Dynamic workplace but too much pressure

Dynamic work environement and nice colleagues. However, workload is too high with extensive hours to do to meet deadlines.Overall, do not recommand as workplace is toxic. Nice first experience as a new graduate but should not spend too long there.

Fun to work at but low pay

Lots of peers to work with as the graduate programs introduce lots of young people. Pay is lower than average, especially at a junior level, considering the skill and time involved in the work

A great business with great management.

I really enjoy working for Deloitte, the internal expertise is shared, and contractors/employees benefit from an evolving body of knowledge. Highly recommend as an employer.

Pros

Regular group meetings to talk about real issues, or discuss developments involving the team. Physical meeting every 6 months, with activities to bind in the team culture and communication.

Good culture, you feel like you are taken care of

Work life balance is not the best. Sometimes you are stretched. Its very fast paced environment. No bonus, and pay is on the lower side in the market. Career progression is okay until manager and it slows down after manager role.

Average place to work with limited opportunity and willingness from partners to move you around. Better for senior level, don’t start at entry level if you can avoid
