Disgusting workplace & unsafe work environment. Staff are bully’s & treat new staff terrible. Prisoners are spoken to in a disgusting manner. If you have self worth and respect who you are as a person don’t work for them

Unsafe toxic environment with promotions for people who suck up and are brown nosers. Prisoners have more rights than staff! Safety of staff is ignored.

Job is definitely not for everyone as it can take a toll on mental health, however the shift work is great for work/life balance with 7-8 day fortnights and plenty of overtime available. Generous leave entitlements

The job is team focused, stressful at times, stable, management is not always supportive, the culture is sometimes not positive, male dominated, shiftwork, good people to work with overall.

If nepotism is your thing, give Corrections Victoria a ring. It is full of ego and legends in their own mind people. They think they are police and they are so far from the truth. Bullying is condoned and gross negligence is covered up.
