It’s a government job which has many benefits and conditions. I have been in this role for two years and during that time it has been a good place to work with good people.

I was bullied by management

Overall good people/ colleagues and nice office space that is well-maintained. A lot of employees leaving, with redundancy or upset with conditions, so high staff turnover. I had a good couple of years there until I was bullied by my management so chose to leave.

Pros

Free parking

Cons

Lack of management skills and ethical behaviour, lack of inclusion

Service selivery to parliamentarians

The team was a temporary group while roles were established following our transfer from the House of Representatives and Senate. Outstanding team in trying conditions and successfully delivered with the 2013 election and new parliamentary session.

Many intense peaks with sitting weeksand mellow troughs when not sitting

Working in one of the country's most spectatular buildings.Sense of serving the nation.Demands of clientele can be quite taxing.Competing demands and agendas from Reps, Senate and DPS internally means not always on the same page. Free gym

Pros

brilliant work environment

Cons

challenging clientele

A steady decline in moral, conditona and job security since 2001

Was once a progressive and enjoyable place of Employment. But unfortueatly the moral and instability of the current envirionment is now very toxic. Uncertainty of Job Security Eroding Conditions Dollar driven management Lack of pride in both the building and the company Lack of trades staff and lack of direction have all combined to change a once great work environment to a place of low moral and general uncertainty.

Pros

Best Building in the Country

Cons

Uncertain future
