Was a good company years ago but now a sinking ship

Worked for this company for 14 years as a leading hand and supervisor. Had to do a 3 day course on bullying and harassment. One of the major upper management personnel was getting away with major forms of bullying and harassment and targeted me sacking me 3 weeks before Christmas. Was considered a top leading hand but to him it didn't matter. They need to get more checks and balances with the way they treat their employees especially upper management.

Good for work/life balance if you can make it work for you and fairly easy to pick up extra shifts Learnt that if your face fits you can get away with doing nothing! Management can be petty, unsupportive and turn a blind eye to those who don't pull their weight and have their favourites. It's hard working with team members who get away with picking and choosing parts of the roles they do or don't want to do. Discrimination is rife, no matter what they say. Good for short term period; long term you get frustrated.
