Factory Hand (Current Employee) – Kewdale, WA – 24 January 2015
Starting at 6am so as to try and avoid the hottest part of the day . I have learnd about working as a team and with different cultures . I have learned how to make candles and the hard work behind each one . The hardest part is when it is summer , it is hot muggy , candles not setting or reacting badly to heat all can lead to alot of frustration . The best part would be seeing a new product head out the factory door knowing you have done the best job you can.
I did enjoy the aspects of working here. They taught me so much about management and the teach you so much and push you to better yourself, but what drove me away was that the pressure they put on you to bring customers in was a lot, you have to upsell so much and if you don't you get a sheet you have to sign saying you are not doing your job correctly.
I was assistant manager and I would recommend for people who want to be casual here but higher up management is crazy!

Overtime hours constantly for VM, and sometime managers and assistant managers have to come in with no pay.
