Community outreach officer (Current Employee) – Queenstown, Eastern Cape – 15 February 2017
interesting and challenging, importance of biodiversity, good management was hands on, time management is key. The importance of community involvement in nature conservation. It is good and fun working with international countries.
Being project manager gains me a lot of experience and the organisation is very good in developing skills to their workers and are given space to showcase their abilities. Working for the EPWP projects and managing 136 workers was a challenge as some would get paid at the end of the month and some not as maybe their bank accounts were closed as there were no monies come into their account. Supervising such people you have to deal with challenges everyday and they might come up toy-toying then that needs to be properly managed. The management would go out of their way in supporting during those difficult times. Some of junior supervisors would also do things need corrective major then as project manger you have to deal with many different characters. The organisation was great in training it workers and that kept the working spirit at the top .
