All new employees, agency staff, contractors and volunteers must have a Police Check prior to engagement. This is irrespective of tenure (full-time, part-time, casual, fixed-term or ongoing), role (nursing, medical, health professional, administrative etc.) and irrespective of which program, site or service the employee will work in.
Preferred candidates will be sent an online link to complete their Police Check through Fit2Work. Except in the case of agency staff, students and contractors, Eastern Health will not accept police certificates provided by individuals.
