Co workers were very helpful
As a student, they pay quite well for a casual contract. There's no commission which is dissapointing. After a 3 weeks of training you are basically thrown into it and it takes time to get used to their slow system with a really not intuitive UI. However the co workers there are so nice and helpful as mainly they went through same thing themselves. The managers really push you to go talk to people and try and sell products and greet them and ask for what they need. They do not like when you stand behind the counter at all and encourage you to roam around and 'look busy'.Honestly I understand the idea, but they overdo it. The stores are already small enough and having employees walk circles around often means that the customers can feel uncomfortable. For students, it is quite a nice job to have and if you like pop culture or video games in general, you will meet people with similar interests and will enjoy your time there. If you want extra hours, you can just cover shifts as a lot of times other employees can't make it.

fun work
the job itself is so much fun, especially when you have good coworkers, the shift flies by so quickly, the only issue is you’ll find you don’t get very long or very many shifts

A welcoming work environment and positive atmosphere.
Working at EB Games was an amazing experience, I had great coworkers who were welcoming and happy to help with teaching me the ropes. I personally never had any terrible issues with customers, but that’s not to say it’s not entirely possible, it is retail after all. Employee benefits were good with Holiday bonuses such as a boost to discounts as well. They treat working there like a game which give you the feeling of wanting to give it your all! Overall, I would very much recommend working at EB if possible. It’s an amazing experience!

Great job, great benefits and great friends
EB had easily been the best job I have ever had, everyone is so friendly and supportive form a store level up. Always have felt so supported and constant opportunities for career development and further workplace learning. I would recommend EB to anyone! The point of sale system was tricky at first but you get to know it quick enough.

Culture of having fun, winning and embracing growth.
The company values every employee from my perspective. The teams are encouraged to focus on having fun, with their customers and coworkers, in a way that show cases a family friend environment. Development, growth and opportunities to change with market trends and adapt to customers needs is at their focus.

Depends on the recruitment experience of the person interviewing and what they're looking for. I would concentrate on preparing your own questions for your interviewer to gain an insight into what its like to work for EB. The interview isnt only for the employer, its a good opportunity for the employee to work out if this is the right fit for them also.
