The job wasn't monotonous, I performed a variety of functions on a daily basis which I enjoyed a lot.
Workplace culture is good a apart from the very few people who spoil it for the rest, troublemakers & lazy.

Hardest part of the job?? actually I didn't have any issues or find anything hard at all about the job.
Pros
Close to home, 5 minute drive
Cons
Wages are low, experienced worker paid same as one who's never worked in this industry before.

Good place to work
Firstly you have to pay for your induction then your msic card $190 then you have to compete with 100 of other casual wanting work as well as the company puts on course every few months employing casuals then you have to wait for ships to come in its not a reliable work it may take a month or more before you get called in.. you would have a better chance of getting work in a third world country.. don't waste your money
Pros
Unreliable work
Cons
Hardly any hours

I usualy start at around 6 am and work through till it gets dark if we didnt finish before. The first day we would set up the equipment to be used and review safety priorities. With the equipment in place we would proceed with the cleaning until lunch break . After which we would resume. I had worked for 21 years on the waterfront so it was very familiar to me. My co workers were in a similar position to me and I found them to be very enjoyable and hard working colleagues.
Its a fairly physical job but not extremely . So the physical effort needed was the hardest part.I enjoyed working with machinery and the good humour and productivity of my workmates
Pros
Free water bottles and tea and coffee.
Cons
It was fairly dirty and the hours would sometime be long
