In the department where I worked, it was always busy. We were always responding to events as they happened, so no time to be relaxed while working. When we weren't working, there was plenty of opportunity to learn new skills. The crew I worked with were a top bunch, who got along well with each other. The Managers were great, always on the ball, checking on your welfare and making sure any issues identified were handled promptly.

Pros

Good training, interesting work, good renumeration.

New experiences working over a large area

Learning all about the swer transmission system and the area that this system covers. Some days you would drive three and a half hours to complete a half hour job.Did not like the black soil at all

Pros

Cons

Productive with intresting subjects to learn about

Fast paced days where I would investigate skills that were required to be used for various roles and to develop a training package that suited these needs. Learning from other workers what their roles involved and being amongst some very helpful co workers who supported eachother closley. The most enjoyable about the role was seeing the finsihed training package put into practice and the hardest part was dealing with the constant feedback from the same workers who resisted change with every new training package

Pros

freindly co workers
