Was able to work with currently relevant technology. Work-life balance is not always guaranteed due to different project teams based in different time zones. Highly flexible, collaborative environment. Great colleagues who are very supportive of beginneres.

Too Top Heavy

Micromanagement from people who have never set foot in the field, engineers who have never built anything but read a book, more managers than field staff. Military style running without the structure or intelligence. Will not supply the correct tools to complete the task but expect you to purchase them yourself. Forced to do unsafe work and then punished for it.

Ok for old style company

Some politics but work wise relaxed and well balanced.Limited career growth and low pay compare to other competitors.Kind of losing market share due to tech cycle issue.

An innovative company

Brilliant minds intersects at here. I had given all the training required to perform my tasks. There are plenty of training courses to enrich your skill with no cost.

Constant organisation changes, Stressful

* Poor work culture* Great opportunities and pay increases for graduates but not for long term staff.* Contractors & permanent Staff performances are compared equally during restructures and redundancies. But permanent staff need to complete additional internal organisation certifications & KPI obligations.* Middle management are powerless within the matrix organisation - confusion between projects and line management are consistent. My manager does not know my job function...

Most important. Had a bank and a gym

Working at Ericsson's was the most memorable job i have. It was the best place to work. Most work colleges were very friendly. Bosses were excellent. We had all the facilities we could ask for. Over all i loved working for Ericsson's.

Great company to work for

I was only at Ericsson for a short time on contract but it was a really nice place to work. Collaborative environment, management team were great to work with and the HR Team were fabulous. Lovely offices with weekly fruit delivery for employees.

Great place to work

Great culture and very professional company. Worked at Ericsson for many years and it was always a great experience with opportunity to travel overseas and work on many different types of projects and technologies and for many different customers.

typical day managing a team of exceptional people I learnt that the people made the company Management were fair worplace culture was excellent hardest part of the job was leaving it most enjoyable part was seeing staff develop over many years in the job

fun work work place

experience and hands on work is the best. each job provided a challenge and a way of improving my skills. Travelling to different parts of the country to be able to provide telecom solutions was indeed fun

A global company that often values its employees but They don't know how to keep him personnel. Recently important for them project have to be finished very fastly that is lowering quality

Great place to work

Ericsson is great place to work and will give you the opportunity to gain exposure to different environment and suppliers and customer needs. I gained knowledge in people management, and network rollout and support from 3G Hutch network to LTE and NBN support.

This was an internship only

My time at Ericsson I spent as an intern or student Engineer and drive tested new antennae installations for the company. It was a good job as a university student and I enjoyed the experience

Global opportunties

Good workplace, treats employees with respect and provides good flexibility. Sometimes can get stuck in large company dynamics such as cumbersome processes. Opportunities can be limited depending on which part of the company one is working in..

Typical Service Based Company

Best part across the organisation is there is no concept of micromanagement. Telecommute is encouraged as long as target is achieved. Also flexible to work from home (if project / client agrees). Seldom sugar coated speeches, most of the time it is direct transparent picture from management (Good or bad news) Good in-house facilities like breakfast, fruit box and mobile plans. Sometimes, it gets hard to work with another part / team of organisation due to cumbersome processes.

Pros

Chilled out workplace. Higher management is easy to approach / transparent

Cons

Salary hike / bonus > minimal to Nil Minimum in-house training

Australian operations downsizing

Ericsson was a great place to work when I started over 23 years ago. The opportunities I had working in other countries and the people I met was great. Ramping up of competition in the vendor market space, global economic pressures and increasing pressure on operational profitability has taken a lot of the personal touch that made this company special away. Toward the end of my employment, I often did 12 to 16 hour days trying to align to meetings around numerous time zones and continents. The additional hours were considered as professional time, and it became increasingly hard to find any work/life balance.
