Good place to work in if full staffed. Supportive management esp during covid outbreak. Not stingy on PPE. Not much perk in salary package though. Need to roster more staff and or lengthen time duration of short shift staff

The residents and staff are lovely! The home itself is beautiful.ED has poor communication skills and comes across as abrasive and rude. Short staffing is a significant issue also

Depending on the ED of the facility can be a great workplace or the complete opposite. Some staff aswell love to make others feel awful. Though the people I have met are all really nice. If your a kind person that doesn't like to stir the pot, you will excel.

I like this company because they listen each and every thing from workers. If there anything happens they give a chance to explain everything after that they take any action after full inquiry.

Wouldn't send loved ones here

I had a horrible experience working here. Would not trust these people to look after my loved ones. Feel sorry for the residents :( Working this job made me so depressed seeing how the elderly residents were treated by staff

Could not recommend as a good work place or a place to put a vulnerable relative. I have never felt so disappointed in a job and having to make the decision to leave because of the toxic work place culture.

Honestly do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. Manager is absolutely horrible has 0 respect for the workers. Never been in such a miserable understaffed workplace in all my life.

So much gossiping and bullying at Estia. Little to no support from your manager. If you have any issues they are swept under the rug. Bullies getting away with intimidation and harassment. Poor work ethic from a lot of the staff. No one takes ownership of their mistakes and they like to blame others. No team work , every man for themselves attitude.

I did not have a great experience at estia as there were a few girls who had no empathy or respect for the residents and staff. This made it very difficult to work with them and i only lasted 6 months. Sue the manager was not at all management material.

Staff turn over is quick

They staffing is terrible requesting for a permanent shift can be difficult. They do not prioritize the people who's been working with them for a long time. The shifts were given to new employees and I find it hard to get a permanent shift. Forcing me to find another job. No progress in your career. Staffing can be short. Workers does not feel valued making them less motivated. More work short shift.

Awful place to work

I worked with Estia for just under 2 years and was never treated well by management the entire time. Just a money hungry company that really don't have/show any compassion to the residents nor staff. Almost every shift was short staffed and corners were being cut every single day. I would not recommend anyone to work here.

Management have no respect for us AIN's at all. Management do not treat each and every person fairly. Management have favourites. It is the worst place i have ever worked, so do not work there

Productive and fun workplace with very kind colleagues, estias modo is one family and you are guaranteed to feel like a part of a family. I have now worked at three different estimates facilities over Australia an although they are each individual the mood still stands

Different work environment.

Looking after resident's ADL's and making sure that they are comfortable, well hydrated and fed. Ensure no residents abscod from the Dementia Units, and liase with management on any aspects of the job or residents concerns that may need addressing at a higher level. Every day is different, that is the most exciting part, although you have to do the same work, the people who you deal with, may not have been the residents you dealt with yesterday, keeping you on your toes!

As a AIN working for Estia Health Southport, I found it difficult to communicate communicate or suggest changes as the clinical director is often unavailable due to busy schedule.
