Stressful work place

All my co workers love working together, but we see our mangers are very stressed and always under pressure from their management. Since Estia took over its been all about profit and everyone has to work overtime to get everything done, - I am looking to go somewhere else

It's hard being a casual staff member

As I am a casual staff member I don't get many hours. The hardest part of the job is remembering how to do it for me because as I am casual I don't do it that often and by the time I come back I have to refresh my memory. My co-workers are great not a problem with them! The most thing I love about the job is chatting to the residents if I have the time. The management have just changed hands so a lot of changes going on.

A typical day would involve attending to and assisting residents with there daily ADLs such as showering ,toileting, dressing them, making beds, meal assisting where ever required. Engaging them in conversation and activities. Being alert and sensitive to there needs and treating them with dignity and respect.Working as a team and part of a team to ensure high quality of care is provided.The most important part of the job is the satisfaction you get at the end of your shift that you made difference in someones life.
