Easy job high pressure by management
Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Houston, TX18 October 2018
Amazing work life balance but no opportunities for growth. Most promotions and vacancies are filled with UK expats despite having qualified Americans on the staff

this requirement should not be made compulsory in orderf to use the Indeed website - Indeed is a job search engine which should not make the search more difficult by asking intrusive questions

Contract Company
Cost Control Engineer (Former Employee) –  Houston, TX15 October 2017
This is a contract company so they will put you on an assignment, but like any contract position as soon as it is completed your out. The Management does work with you in finding the next contract but they expect you to be flexible with your job location.
Pros
Great pay

Accounting Administrator (Former Employee) –  Houston, TX26 August 2017
The company was just starting. I was able to start the books from the beginning.

I was basically doing Accounts Receivable and Payable and processing payroll thru ADP and Human Resource.

As the company grew, they wanted to expand and we're moving my position to the UK.

Fircroft was just a labor agency but the support you receive is ok, any questions they answered and kept you informed of any other positions.
Work life balance was good, as well as free medical, and matching 401K

First Rate People - Bad Strategy
Employee (Former Employee) –  Houston, TX17 March 2016
Good company going through tough times, improvements to leadership and operations must be made to render success in it's current competitive market.

Office politics unfortunately take precedence over actual productivity and winning success.

Definite lack of direction, leadership lacking in experience.

Fircroft is not people centric and the top down communication platform they employ is outdated and ineffective. Currently cutting themselves right out of contention. Uninspired changes tarnish what was once a great entity.

Leadership must own and stand behind their decisions. They must defend decisions, use candor and most importantly not lie about how decisions were discerned.

Financial Assistant-Long Term Contract Assignment (Current Employee) –  BP Refinery - Oregon, OH2 November 2015
Incredible job match for my skills to begin with. Excellent salary plus unlimited overtime. Thoroughly enjoyed coming to work - 47.5 hrs per standard week.

Contractor position - No vacation, holiday or sick time benefits

Health Insurance - Free to employee - 80/20 plan through United Health Care.

Wonderful mix of people on staff.

Hardest part was dealing with Accounts Payable functions in 3rd world countries. Different languages and time zones.
Pros
Interesting work, extremely busy entering Contractor Time info
Cons
No vacation or holiday pay

Not a good place
Recruitment Consultant (Former Employee) –  Houston Texas16 October 2015
Terrible management and communication.
You are required to sign-in and sign-out throughout the day so management can add up the minutes/hours worked to determine you have worked your 40+. One afternoon one of the managers said to someone on the legal counsel: Since you arrived at 8:05, we'll just meet you downstairs a little after five.
I knew immediately this wasn't the place for me. They counted how many times people went to the restroom. Some supervisors were allowed to sit on the phone most of the day talking about personal things. Others couldn't ask a candidate a question (like, how was your weekend?) without management stating it was a personal call. It was very weird.
Pros
Good bonuses/commission. Average salary. Good PTO benefits.
Cons
Too many to list; worst company I have ever worked for in the past twenty or so years.

Company in transition experiencing financial trouble
Branch Manager (Former Employee) –  Anchorage Alaska7 October 2015
Fircroft was a company in transition from a small organization to medium. Their primary focus was Oil & Gas contingent labor. When the oil prices fell the company experienced severe financial issues that led to a global restructure and the subsequent closing of most of the North American offices. My office was one of them, leaving me without employment.
Pros
global reach, privately owned
Cons
weak senior managment, constant staff changes, fluid goals
