Can be a great place to work

Indeed Featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Working in production at flavorite can be long hours during busy season and very short through quiet season. You are able to get a good pay check if your willing to put in the hours. The people at flavorite are great to work with its a very comfortable work environment.

Not a very good place to work didn’t treat staff fairly.

Would not work at Flavorite again very repetitive tasks and was doing completely different job from what was described as job role long hours and very physical job.

Lunch breaks were generous.

Long hours and very tiring repetitive work.

Wouldn't recommend.

Wouldnt recommend working here to anyone, certain types of workers are favoured over others. Not to mention most of the supervisors are lazy and make the work harder for certain people.

good place to work

It's an environment that offers its challenges but the management is there to help and always willing to listen. Built many great skills that I'm sure will come handy later on in life

Great experience but unstable

The work is good, people are good. Lots of physical work. Work load and your job itself depends on season, even if not hired for seasonal work. No warning when fired.

Easy, wholesome work

Not secure

Enjoyed my role

I enjoyed my role. I don't agree with all of the policies they have. Very high turn over of staff for a good reason. People can be treated more as hands than people. More concerned with speed than anything else.

Hot environments, long days, poor culture.

Poor work/life balance.

Typical day: Start when the sun comes up, depends on what department you are in to what work you do. What I have learnt: Lots about how tomatoes grow. Management: Depends on your department and who you report to. Some departments are good, but others care too much about their speeds and not enough about their quality and willing to push people to get every cent out of them. Workplace Culture: Casuals are great, management act as if they are above everyone and not willing to associate much with their peers. The hardest part: Long hours, a lot, with some weekend work. Very little down time. During summer, expect 12-14 hour days, 6 days a week. The most enjoyable part: The backpackers.

Work in a glasshouse during winter.

Long hours, tough management.

Productive and great workplace

Everything to do with hydroponic tomatoes working in the humidity isn't that bad and it's fun to see the plants grow up to 20 meters long. A lot of people work there on working visas and its good to meet people from around the world.

Meeting heaps of people from different countries and fun work.

Working in winter muddy and hard work.
