Great people but a bit boring
Receptionist (Former Employee) - Brighton VIC - 14 September 2023
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt was a pretty boring job overall but responsibilities were reasonable and management was generally great and understanding. Always fun meeting different customers and the service team in particular are fantastic. It was generally enjoyable but would be better if it was a bit more busy and you had more things to do during the day(mainly for weekend work).

The training was very good.
Case Manager (Former Employee) - Broadmeadows VIC - 19 October 2020
Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. When someone is struggling instead of coaching them and supporting them to be successful in their role they basically let you drown and then tell you if you can't keep up you're out. There is no allowance for the fact that different people learn differently, at different rates and no support which I found very disappointing because I really wanted to be there and do well.
Pros
Canteen on site
Cons
Poor management

Progressive and professional environment driven by both company and individual values
Emissions Laboratory Quality Control Engineer (Former Employee) - Victoria - 20 August 2020
Ford encourage individual growth on the job as well as providing employees with a progressive and professional environment to work in. Learning at work is available 24/7 and considered part of any role at the company which is gainful for both employer and employee. H & S is paramount and embedded in all aspects of worklife at Ford. A typical day involved both routine tasks and my own development of processes. I learned a lot about the chemical analysis of emission gases and about the management of an ISO accreditation. About management, Ford have endeavored to provide less levels of management in recent years which has assisted in the better identification as to which manager an individual reports to, however some areas still lack clarity e.g. ownership of equipment and resources. Workplace culture is very focused on H & S in addition to which individual managers have improved the workplace by taking opportunities to encourage knowledge sharing and to improve communication between separately functioning departments. Individually inspired activities exist in abundance e.g. sport and charitable activities. The hardest part about my job involved getting through to a few crucial individuals, trying and succeeding over time to encourage a constructive relationship for mutual benefit. The most enjoyable part of the job was to perform well once all aspects of life at work made sense and came under control.
Pros
Your chance to perform well for a great company
Cons
Unclear direction and information at start up

Good workplace
Software Engineer Intern (Former Employee) - Campbellfield VIC - 20 May 2020
Good workplace. They let you learn but like any other company, they need results at the end of the day. People are nice and bosses are nice too however you may find yourself surrounded by bureaucracy at all time. It's a big organisation so don't be surprised by the amount of time it takes to get 1 small approval.
