Productive and enjoyable place to work
VP Sales (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CA14 August 2019
Forrester is integrating SiriusDecisions into its product portfolio and organization. The value propositions of the combined entity are unique and powerful. It covers the full waterfall of B2B and B2C. It guide clients on what to do strategy and how to do it execution. Helps direct large companies on how to best align marketing, sales and product imperative for success in the age of the customer.

Customer Success Specialist (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MA14 July 2019
Small salary and cruel management across the board. Company isn't as innovative as it think it is and the company culture is only friendly and welcoming to view.

Great place to work
coach clients on analyst engagement (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TN31 May 2019
Forrester has a great company culture and wonderful people to work with. It is an extremely collaborative work environment and you will learn a lot. Continued education of industries and your client's business is a must. A typical day at work is fast paced but not so much that you can't keep up. Unlike most place you will have something to do every hour of the day if you are doing the job correctly. Proactive activity is what helps you win in your role with Forrester as well as collaborating colleagues and especially account team members. The management team are player coaches who help you reason through challenges with clients and craft solutions to help meet their needs. The hardest part of the job is staying on top of everything. Honestly its a lot but it an be done and there are people who do so every day within Forrester. The most enjoyable part is the team atmosphere and everyone's attitude towards celebrating each other's wins and helping the clients achieve their objectives.
Pros
Culture, Compensation, Education, training etc...
Cons
Takes a while a learn how to do the job.

Need new management
Senior Account Director (Former Employee) –  Dallas-Fort Worth, TX17 April 2019
Lots of smart people but they need many more of them to compete and grow. Just not enough analysts.

Management continually changes focus and direction. Literally heading in one direction and two to three years later reversing course.

Good Company...Terrible Management
Sales Account Manager (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TN31 January 2019
A typically day is just like any other working day. Calls with clients, internal calls for advice, meetings, emails, cold calls, prospecting, etc. They job is very hard to learn right away but there are great sales people on the floor to share knowledge and they are willing to...which is a huge plus. I learned a lot about selling intangible products. Everything you sell is based off an idea and story, and you have to sell those to the client well. That's the hard part though, trying to convince people to spend all this money on something they can't see, or predict the value they will receive. They have their subscription, and sometimes, that's all they care about/need.

The office culture is great, in terms of your co-workers. The managers and director in Nashville aren't the best. They know how to get results, which is what matters, but they truly don't care about you. They talk behind their employees backs, gossip, and try and get you to talk about other employees. This part disturbed me. No one should be discussing/making fun of your clothing or how you live your life outside of the office walls. They have created a culture of fear as well. There have been multiple firings of late and it's making everyone worry they are next.

Senior Analyst (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MA15 December 2018
I worked at Forrester for a short time, but was impressed by the caliber of people it had on staff as well as in management. Forrester provided a lot of training and advancement opportunities, especially if you proved your worth.

Interesting work dynamic - Can be a "pressure cooker" for sales
Client Executive (Current Employee) –  Remote22 November 2018
Brilliant minds working at Forrester. However, sales can be extremely intense and micro managed once you are trending below your number. If you are consistently above your number, I feel it is a great sales environment.
Pros
Can work remotely
Cons
Micromanagement

Fun company with Smart People
Regional Director of Strategic Sales (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CA16 November 2018
Fun company with smart people. Probably a little too quarterly and monthly revenue oriented...can't always see the big picture. Needs to focus on client solutions rather than products.

The best place I have ever worked. Next to perfect work life balance.. Though I was a contractor for only about three months I was treated like a full time employee. My Manager briefed me about work and project demands and allowed me to use my own approach to achieve work objectives

Amazing Company
Account Manager (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TX29 October 2018
I loved working at Forrester for the majority of my tenure. Great people, turn-key processes, perfect balance of technology. Company mission is crystal clear: Making Leaders Successful Every Day.

Management is mostly great, some pockets of old boys club.
Pros
The people
Cons
Lack of growth strategy in the market.

Forrester is an excellent place to work. I have high regard for my former co-workers and management.
Solutions Specialist (Former Employee) –  San Francisco, CA24 October 2018
Hard work and dedication are necessary for success at Forrester. The hard work is worthwhile. Client success = organizational and personal success.

I enjoyed learning about and helping clients identify, diagnose, develop and measure solutions for a wide range of challenges. Challenges included making an organization become more customer centric, digital transformation, deliver improved customer experience and adapt to the consumer's mobile mind shift.
Pros
Well compensated, autonomy and the research is best in class
Cons
Less resources compared to the competition, Low brand awareness amongst senior executives, Forrester does not market or promote itself enough to its target audience

Culture is going downhill
Sales (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MA4 September 2018
Culture has gone downhill over the past couple of years due to announcements of new global sales management and the sense that our new Nashville office is where we want to hire cheaper salespeople.

Not the company for me
Director (Current Employee) –  Cambridge, MA17 July 2018
Forrester has some very good qualities. Many people have been happy there for years. However, in my experience, they don't practice what they preach (at least not in most departments) and there is some very shady behavior that is allowed by upper management. It's basically a company run by old white men who have a hard time changing the way they think. They even changed their tagline to "Challenge thinking. Lead change." and yet, they don't like their thinking to be challenged unless it comes with an immediate and press-worthy increase in their bottom line. Their HR ("EX") department does very little to resolve reported cases of mistreatment; instead they push it back on you to figure it out yourself. It's okay to throw other people under the bus to get ahead. That's not cool with me.
Pros
Free coffee, ping pong table, foosball, cafe and gym onsite, competitive pay, good benefits
Cons
Misalignment of values with actual conduct, unattainable annual goals, absolutely no budget for new tech even though that's what they claim to be critical for clients.

Good company not great
Sales Representative (Former Employee) –  Cambridge, MA14 June 2018
This company tries to give back to its employees. The work culture at Forrester is probably one of the best around. Honestly mostly great people who work there. Management needs improvement. Lack of follow up when HRIS is working on personal tasks vs. work related.
Pros
Really nice building (Very clean & organized) access to coffee, music, work activites, really nice group of people!
Cons
Management needs improvement.

Good Company, Needs To Further Develop
Account Executive (Current Employee) –  Nashville, TN4 June 2018
Forrester has a great culture and great people within the organization. It is a complex sell and a focus should be more so on what you're selling versus how to sell. Training is ideal for an entry-level salesperson.
Pros
Great Culture
Cons
Complex Sell
