Very talented workforce and the excellent training culture will help enthusiastic people learn and grow your skills (which you keep forever). The stores are ambient and have a loyal and growing customer base. The more effort you want to invest the more success is possible.

Terrible
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Caringbah - 6 March 2021
Use and abuse you. They sell you a great work lifestyle until you finally start working. Targets are far from reasonable and manager takes advantage of you. Terrible place to work.

Apalling environment
Salesperson (Former Employee) - Castle Hill NSW - 28 August 2020
Aggressive managers who speak badly of other staff members behind their backs and spend most time in their office, on their mobile to friends or outside smoking. Endemic bullying if you dont make your sales targets you are heavily and ruthlessly targeted and will be bullied out of the business or just sacked. No training or onboarding whatsoever (ok let's say 5 minutes max!) - it's like they want you to fail which is crazy. Sales targets are so high it's almost impossible to achieve unless during sale. Managers who dont get commission put their sales under someone else's name who does then they split the profits of the commission. Told you are not allowed to take a break because they are (intentionally) understaffed. Followed around the shop floor by managers continually asking have you sold anything, how much have you sold. Told not to mention the poor quality of the fabrics, the leathers, the goods in general and the crazy long lead times - some customers wait 12 months to receive their goods, some never receive them. There is always a story management has to try and cover up their broken business. Company used their order management system fiasco to qualify for Jobseeker. They dont pay cleaners so staff have to do it - often told to stay after hours. I could go on - there are some lovely staff but the managers are despised. The company is hated by all the staff they all feel used and totally unvalued. The wages are so low you are on the poverty line. Don't think they care - they don't, it's all about sales and nothing else.
Pros
Staff discount is the one pro.
Cons
Nothing positive except the (poor unsuspecting) customers are generally very nice.

Management turn on you just when you need more time to adjust
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Marion SA - 21 June 2019
Thought working for Freedom was great when I started.Supportive team members and some good training.Fast forward 4 months, unhelpful absent
and nagging managers not on the floor to help you. Resulted in unhappy customers and some mistakes made on my part and even less help( as i have a few health conditions) they new about. Very disappointed and not working there now.
Pros
Lovely team of sales girls and storemen.
Cons
Soul destroying notes left on my locker.Never seen that before.

Depends on who your manager is
Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Sydney NSW - 21 September 2018
Absolutely depends on who your immediate manager is and what the team within your store is like, this makes or breaks your experience. It can be a bit of a boys club as well.
Pros
Nice products
Cons
reactive and not proactive

Underpaid Job and Unfriendly Warehouse Staff
Warehouse Assistant (Former Employee) - Auburn NSW - 5 March 2018
The Auburn Store expects you to run the warehouse for $20.80 Per Hour. Read role and responsibilities clearly before considering this role as they will use you to work very hard for a very low pay. Some but not all individuals at the Auburn store are incredibly difficult to work with. This job is ok for someone who desperately needs money and is willing to cop blame and hard work for it. From reliable sources this role in this particular store (Auburn) has a very high turnover of staff in the warehouse / online fulfillment role. So Be Careful.
The role is advertised a Warehouse assistant / online fulfillment role but they expect you to run the warehouse on an Assistant's wages. This role in Auburn goes through more staff than i have ever heard of, infact this really should be reported to fair work its an absolute joke.
Pros
The Back Door is always open
Cons
Nightmare Role
